You’d think you’d seen it all, but you’d be wrong. The Clair Obscur Expedition 33 team released an official music video for “Maelle”, featuring her motion actress.
When it comes to what our favorite part of Clair Obscur is, what makes it so special, you can’t simply pick one thing. It is a combination of a well-crafted story, jaw-dropping voice acting, and a practically perfect soundtrack. On that last note, the soundtrack was streamed more than 3.3 million times, and we’ve all replayed the various music videos countless times. Additionally, to celebrate 33 days after the launch, Sandfall released a special music video for their song “Maelle”, featuring none other than Maelle’s motion actress, Miss Charlotte Hoepffner.

Just a couple of days ago, Sandfall announced that they have reached a special milestone – 3.3 million Clair Obscur copies sold in 33 days. To celebrate it, they have released the last music video they have made. It is for the song “Maelle”, and it features a performance from Charlotte Hoepffner, who is Maelle’s motion actress. It was announced with a deeply emotional message by Mr. Lorien Testard, the lead composer.
When you think of Maelle, it is usually the voice of Jenifer English that comes to mind. But we can’t ignore the stellar job done by Charlotte Hoepffner, whose performance brought Maelle to life. Especially knowing that Maelle has some pretty dynamic and physically demanding moves. The video itself is absolutely beautiful, as you can see for yourself.
As far as we gathered, Miss Hoepffner attended both theater and acting schools (“Atelier international de théâtre Blanche Salant et Paul Weaver” and ”École Internationale de Création Audiovisuelle et de Réalisation“) and had some minor roles in movies and television, meaning that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 could be considered her biggest role yet.
