It’s here, finally! It’s been a long while since anything big happened, and the announcement of Masters of Ceremony Warbond shook the Helldivers 2 community to its core. Will it be amazing, or will it be just meh? Let’s find out!
The Trailer for the Masters of Ceremony Warbond Dropped
The Helldivers were holding their breath up in expectation, and on May 8, the announcement dropped. Developers posted a trailer for the new Warbond on the official YouTube channel. If you haven’t had the chance to see it, you can do so below or here. As always, it’s a masterpiece!

So, what do we know about the new Warbond? Well, first of all, the aesthetics are on point! The Warbond contains a primary weapon (the R-2 Amendment) and a secondary weapon (the CQC Saber, yes, the Helldivers will finally get the Saber!).
Just as Baskinator, the CM, teased, Helldivers will get a true spear, the CQC-1 One True Flag. There is a new booster – Sample Scanner, and an extremely democratic new throwable, the G-142 Pyrotech.
Of course, you can expect two armor sets, the Oarade Commander and the Honorary Guard. Both designs are amazing, and they go perfectly with the new capes, one of which is literally the flag of Super Earth! And let’s not forget about the new emote – the Lockstep. To complete the Warbond, the devs added a couple of cool banners and a new player title – Decorated Hero.

And… that’s not all! The CM made another announcement on the official Discord channel. She stated: “By popular demand, we are adding a new stash of FRV patterns to previously released Warbonds to all owners. Go check out the Viper Commando, Freedom’s Flame, Chemical Agents, and Truth Enforcers Warbond pages in Acquisitions on May 15th”.

Helldivers React to the Warbond Announcement
Ooof, this is tough! On one hand, the Helldivers 2 players love the aesthetic of the Masters of Ceremony Warbond. Also, there is the fact that the devs incorporated items the community has been asking for. On the other hand, well, the expectations were extremely high.
Recently, the CEO of Arrowhead, Shams Jorjani, made an unsavory comment, promising the players would “sh** themselves” when they see what’s to come. Obviously, this raised the expectations sky-high, especially following the long content drought. Naturally, many players were quite disappointed.
PNW-enjoyer noted: “Master of Disappointments? I know, first impressions and all that, but personally, this seems to be a bit of a joke warbond, which is fine, but releasing it when we haven’t had a big content drop in close to 6 months seems slightly poorly timed, IMO”.
KillListSucks added: “Honestly, this all feels like stuff that should have been released for free on the anniversary of the game’s launch. I don’t know, man, but it feels like they’re just running on fumes at this point”.
Of course, the Singularity Party will, hopefully, bring some more content, so this Warbond will be just a cherry on top. One player, Snoddy2Hotty, said: “Being able to carry a Super Earth flag finally into battle is PURE CINEMA”.
So, dear Helldiver, we have to wait a bit more to see what the devs have prepared! In the meantime, let’s complete the Major Order, we’ll meet you on Veld. For Liberty and Super Earth.
