Just like last week, and the week before that, more Epic Games Store free games have been cycled through and announced. Due to how these games are both replaced and revealed on Thursday every week, usually the only way to know what will be up for grabs is to check in on the store when the rotation happens. Sometimes leaks will reveal an idea of what’s coming next, or whenever an iconic title is given away for free, but it happens so irregularly that Epic Games Store fans shouldn’t rely on it. Checking the page is the best way to stay on top of the games and when they come out, and it makes interesting free game announcements all the more exciting.
The week of March 20 is one of them as the next game to cycle in breaks a two-week cycle featuring games that are packed with action. While fighting games and Soulslikes are popular experiences in their own right, for good reason, just like any other free game the Epic Games Store gives away, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. However, those looking for a more laid-back title to play can grab a business simulation game at no extra cost as soon as March 20 at 10 AM CT. That’s when Jurassic World Evolution 2, based on the Jurassic Park franchise, will be given away to users.

Epic Games Store Free Game Jurassic World Evolution 2 Explained
The idea of a video game where players run their own Jurassic Park is both novel and well-trodden. Zoo Tycoon has allowed players to manage a park with dinosaurs in it with an expansion pack released in 2002, as one possible example of many. Ironically enough, Frontier Developments, the developer of 2013’s Zoo Tycoon, went on to create the Jurassic World Evolution titles. Under the Jurassic Park IP, the idea of dinosaurs in a business simulator is fully realized with the trademark themes of playing with nature as well as preserving and respecting it; in this vein, Jurassic World Evolution 2 translates the series into a business simulator.
The Modes Offered in Jurassic World Evolution 2
- Campaign mode that takes place after Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
- Chaos Theory mode allows players to try their hand at stopping the events of several Jurassic Park films by managing the park their way
- Challenge mode
- Sandbox mode
Be it through the bird’s eye view the genre is known for, or a more personal approach with a ranger vehicle or tour-track jeep, Jurassic World Evolution 2 has made it clear that not even the sky is the limit. T-rexes, velociraptors, brachiosauruses, even Dimorphodons and Mosasauruses are all possible, with so many more along those lines. Aerial and aquatic dinosaurs are Jurassic World Evolution 2‘s most popular and exciting addition in the sequel to many players.
If players want to create a Gyrosphere and make it go through a wide variety of exhibits, they absolutely can. If fans want to cover the buildings from Jurassic Park in their favorite colors, it’s possible. Of course, in true Jurassic Park fashion, if players want to cut the power for long enough that their Tyrannosaurus rex eats all of their guests, there’s nothing stopping them beyond a hit to their rating. As long as fans don’t go bankrupt, they can do almost anything they want in Jurassic Park Evolution 2.

The freedom to create a park that the Jurassic Park series itself says is impossible and perverse, or to unleash absolute chaos after creating that same 5.0 Star park, is what makes Jurassic World Evolution 2 a great steal when it rotates onto the Epic Games Store free games page. That said, just like with previous freebies, not everyone likes business simulation games. Those who do will have their hands full with everything JWE2 offers, so another genre may have their chance to shine when the free games cycle in and out once again on March 27.
