We recently had the first TFD dev livestream of 2025. We had the opportunity to hear about the upcoming new game modes, details about Ines Raya, and some awesome QoL improvements, as well as a preview for the upcoming Lunar New Year event and skins. But that is not all. Near the end of the “announcements”, the devs mentioned the dates and contents of the upcoming The First Descendant updates and hotfixes, scheduled for January and February.

The January 16 update is the 1.2.4 update, and the next one, the 1.2.5 hotfix, will drop on January 23. It will add new Modules and fix possible issues that may appear after the January 16 update.
The one after that, the 1.2.6 Update, is scheduled for February 6. It will add more stages to Void Erosion Purges, and more updates to the Weapon Core Upgrade feature. Additionally, Void Erosion Purge will get a leaderboard, for those who want to be the very best. But that is not all.
The highly requested feature to enable console players to use the mouse & keyboard will be added as well. Though the devs mention that not all mouse & keyboard sets will be supported, and advise that you “double-check if the models you use can be supported”. We presume they will post a list of all the supported models. Lastly, rumors point toward Hot Springs skins being added as well, and there is a possibility of a Swimsuit Bunny skin, but take this with a grain of salt.
On February 13, we’ll have another hotfix, presumably 1.2.7, which will add new Valentine’s Day skins, Paints, and more. Lastly, another dev live will be somewhere in February, but the devs gave us no further details, apart from saying they will talk about future updates.
