It is time! The pre-orders for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Monolith Set begin today.
Both the fans and Sandfall Interactive were pretty surprised that the fabled Collector’s Edition of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 sold out so fast. It featured a steelbook case, an Expeditioner’s Journal (artbook), and a massive statue of The Paintress/The Monolith that doubles as a music box, besides the actual game itself. When the game reached its massive popularity, the fans asked whether they would get another run of these Collector’s Editions, as the interest is now sky-high. While we are not getting the Collector’s Edition again, we are getting something similar.
Clair Obscur Expedition 33 Monolith Set Pre-Orders Begin Today
Instead of the Collector’s Edition, we are getting the Monolith Set. It is basically the same as the Collector’s Edition, but without the game and the DLC, ie, this set only features the extra physical goodies from the Collector’s edition.
“It includes all the physical merch from the Collector’s Edition, just without the base game and downloadable cosmetics. That means the Steelbook case, Monolith music box, and Expedition Journal Artbook are all in there.” said the devs.
Naturally, since it lacks the game itself, the price is lower than the Collector’s Edition, meaning that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Monolith Set will cost £99.99 / $119.99 / €119,99.
The preorders begin today, on May 23, at 15h, and will end on Thursday, June 12, at 11am EDT / 8am PDT. As for the release date, Pix’n Love says the Monolith set will start shipping somewhere around Winter 2025 / Spring 2026.
Bear in mind that, for shipping, the fans from the US will have a hard time due to the whole tariff situation. The fans from France have it the easiest, since they can simply order from Pix’n Love and have the lowest shipping fee. Lastly, the orders will be limited to two per customer, to help combat the scalpers.
This is a pretty reasonable price for everything included in the box, and the Monolith Set is an excellent purchase for all Clair Obscur fans. And a perfect Christmas gift!
