After arriving in Raccoon City in Resident Evil Requiem, players take control of Leon as he fights through spider and zombie-infested streets. Upon reaching the Underground Parking Garage, a new objective appears: find two batteries to power up the gate.
During this search, you will encounter a metal door inside the Sewage Facility that requires a Crank to open. This is the first of two doors the tool can unlock, but finding it can be a little tricky in RE9.

Where to Find the Crank in the Sewage Facility in Resident Evil Requiem
When you interact with the metal door inside the Sewage Facility, the game will mention that a Crank is required. However, the Crank is not located inside this building. For now, your main objective should remain focused on finding both batteries and powering the Parking Garage gate.
The first battery is located on the northwest side of the Underground Parking Garage. Climb the ladder and move past the furniture trucks to reach it. The second battery is inside the Sewage Facility itself. You will find it after dropping into the lower section, where Leon encounters multiple zombies, including a bloated one. Clear the area and grab the battery.
Once you have both batteries, insert them to open the Parking Garage gate. Exit the area, turn left to trigger a short cutscene, and then enter the Cedarbrook Apartments. Inside the apartments, you will see a staircase on your right. There is also a door beneath the stairs that leads back to the BSAA camp, where you can upgrade as well as purchase new weapons.
Head upstairs and follow the path until you reach another crank slot. This one is required for story progression, as it gives access to the rooftop where you can find the second part of the detonator.
From this gate, turn right and drop to the lower floor. You will encounter several zombies armed with SMGs. After dealing with them, interact with the Crank mounted beside a door to obtain the Rusty Crank.
Now that the Crank is in your possession, you can head back upstairs to continue the main objective. Before doing that, it is worth backtracking. Exit the building and return to the Underground Parking Garage. Go back into the Sewage Facility and use the Crank on the previously locked metal door.
Inside, you can climb the stairs to reach a small closed area, where you will find several zombies and a supply box containing:
