It’s over! Helldivers are once again victorious! The Battle for Super Earth has ended, and all Helldivers 2 players let out sighs of relief. After ten days of tirelessly fighting, the players can finally take a step back and admire everything that they accomplished.
The Battle for Super Earth Is Over
The Battle for Super Earth started on May 20, just after the Heart of Democracy update dropped. It was divided into three stages, and even though the final stage was a nail-biter, it ended well. Now, there are celebrations galaxy-wide.
The official Helldivers 2 account on X shared the latest edition of Strohmann News, in which Coretta Kelly announces the liberation of Super Earth. The Squids have retreated… for now. Also, the Illuminate stationed on other planets have fled into hiding.
As always, the High Command wrote a couple of lines to go with the news. This announcement read: “The Illuminate have retreated from Super Earth battlespace. The Heart of Democracy has been defended. The Battle of Super Earth is won. The devastation wrought upon our home is immense. Only two Mega Cities remain standing: Prosperity City and Equality-on-Sea. The remainder have been vacated by the enemy, having suffered catastrophic damage at their hands”.
Furthermore, the announcement also reflected on various celebrations popping up all through the galaxy. Apparently, the requests for C-01 permits have quintupled? So, um, we guess there’ll be lots of tiny Helldivers in some nine months.
And, of course, the High Command thanked the Helldivers and the SEAF troops for their efforts. They noted: “All know the endurance of Freedom is thanks to the innumerable sacrifices of the Helldivers, and the SEAF soldiers fighting by their side. Awards for valor for SEAF veterans are being processed”.
Helldivers Are Super Proud of Their Amazing Achievement
Battle for Super Earth will definitely go down in the history of Helldivers 2. So, naturally, Helldivers used the opportunity to praise the developers and even express some wishes for the future.
VelvetCowboy19 noted: “This whole event was awesome. I look forwards to seeing how AH uses all the city assets going forward. I also look forward to being able to get samples again”. Another player, Charming_Loquat_5924, added: “I hope high command sees how well we work together with SEAF and put them in a stratagem at some point”.
Sensei_of_Philosophy stated: “My greatest gratitude to all of my fellow Helldivers – those who survived to see our victory, and those who fell in defense of our home. We’ll find those squids and enact supreme vengeance for what they’ve done to Super Earth and so many of our people. But until then, I’ll see you all in the hellpods and on the battlefields. Your capes were well-earned. Now give ’em hell, Divers”.
