She’s on her way! As the devs announced, Season 2 will be centered around the Hellfire Gala. Obviously, that can only mean one thing. One can’t talk about the Hellfire Gala without talking about Emma Frost, and the Marvel Rivals devs confirmed she would be coming on April 11. They also shared a lovely Character Reveal video showing off her capabilities.
Emma Frost Is on Her Way to Marvel Rivals
On April 4, James, the Community Manager, shared some more details about the arrival of Emma Frost on the official Discord channel. The CM noted: “Emma Frost of Krakoa’s Quiet Council cordially invites you to attend the grand return of the Hellfire Gala! With the timelines in complete disarray and Mutantkind scattered, the White Queen reignites her annual celebration to welcome allies old and new to the living island”.
They added: “A wealthy socialite, fashion icon, and powerful telepath, Emma Frost uses her Mutant abilities to dominate her foes while executing on the vision of a protected home for Mutantkind.. On April 11th UTC, join Emma Frost – The White Queen at Krakoa’s most revered event”.
Of course, it wouldn’t be much of an introduction without a video showcasing her abilities. Well, the devs shared a YouTube video introducing Emma Frost, and she is spectacular. You can watch it below or here.
Now, first and foremost, Emma will be a Vanguard! We can’t wait to see the sudden rise of tanks in the game, finally! Even though the devs haven’t disclosed all of Emma’s moves, mind control is definitely involved, as is her diamond form. Also, her voice lines are simply phenomenal.
Players Can’t Wait to Meet the White Queen
As one would have expected, Marvel Rivals players already adore everything about Emma Frost. So, naturally, the players shared what they loved the most and praised the devs for their hard work.
One player, cleanupguy3934, noted: “I like how, despite taking some liberties with her abilities such as the use of diamond shields & such, they still keep true to the comics by having it so she can’t use her telepathy in her Diamond form. Obviously, this is good for balancing, but it’s comic accurate too”.
Balancing abilities is fun, but the majority of players were focused on… other things. NothingNess1203 stated: “She has every type of jiggle physics ever thought of on every part of her body, bro, they were having an absolute field day creating this character”.
So, the only thing left to do is wait for April 11. According to some leaks, Krakoa is going to be lots of fun, we can’t wait to see all the details. In the meantime, enjoy the new Venom emote, and see you out there.
