This incredible map-making Humble Bundle mega deal disappears in a matter of days

After a brief run back in April, Humble Bundle’s Map Making Mega Bundle just got an encore that lasts until Dec. 2 at 2 p.m. EST. Described as a “treasure trove of assets and apps” released by ProFantasy Software over the years, the entire collection, announced Nov. 18, is valued at over $1,300. And there are three different bundles available here. For anyone eager to dip their toes into building their own maps for Dungeons & Dragons or other TTRPGs they can use on the virtual tabletop of their choice, there really is no better deal out there.

The big draw is definitely a lifetime license for Campaign Cartographer 3+, a professional-grade cartography program that can be used to create everything from fantasy overworld maps to smaller regional maps, city maps, and, perhaps most importantly, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, includes only four of the 39 total items: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Source Maps: Castles!, and Source Maps: Cities!. This one’s only for cartographers who already have CC3+, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for overworld maps, more than 750 monster tokens for use in virtual tabletops, more than two dozen top-down castle layouts with 470 associated map tokens, eight fully mapped cities, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

The eight-item bundle for at least $15 is where things get more interesting by adding in a lifetime CC3+ license, Cartographer’s Annual Vol 1, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. Cartographer’s Annual is the yearly bundle ProFantasy’s long-running monthly subscription service which includes includes a variety CC3+ add-ons like map collections and various other tools. Isometric Cities lets you display cities with an extra dimension with isometric views from all sides. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping is a 760-page for beginners and “power users” alike, full of tips and tutorials for the map-making process.

For a minimum of $30, the 39-item bundle includes all the following:

  • Fractal Terrains 3+
  • Dungeon Designer 3
  • City Designer 3
  • Cosmographer 3
  • Perspectives 3
  • Dioramas 3
  • Character Artist 3
  • Symbol Set 2: Fantasy Floorplans
  • Symbol Set 3: Modern
  • Symbol Set 4: Dungeons of Schley
  • Symbol Set 5: Cities of Schley
  • Token Treasury: Monsters 2
  • Source Maps: Temples, Tombs and Catacombs
  • World War 2 Interactive Atlas
  • World Builder’s Compendium
  • Cartographer’s Annual Vol 1-17
  • Campaign Cartographer 3+ (Lifetime License)
  • Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities
  • Tome of Ultimate Mapping
  • Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland
  • Token Treasury: Monsters 1
  • Source Maps: Castles!
  • Source Maps: Cities!

All 17 volumes of Cartographer’s Annual are included here, alongside a slew of other resource and asset packs that can help users design entire planets or galaxies, or just go all-in on traditional fantasy world-building: battle maps, dungeons, cities, and continents from almost any perspective. You can even design character portraits. For $30 as opposed to $15, the full bundle is so worth it, especially for cartographers who have only the annual CC3+ license and want to upgrade to lifetime. But it’s obviously an even better deal for map-making newbies considering you even get the beginners’ tutorials to help you get started. The one caveat here is that while you can redeem the deal on any platform, the software is only usable on Windows.

As with other Humble Bundles, a portion of each sale goes to benefit a nonprofit. For this one, that’s Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 focused on improving the lives of children worldwide through education, health care, and emergency relief. The Bundle Filters option is toward the top of the page, but you can also select any amount for a donation on the right side of the page. There’s also an “Adjust Donation” drop-down just below that, allowing you to adjust how much of your donation goes to Humble, Profantasy, and Save the Children.
