One Punch Man’s fall from grace has been truly saddening. The first season (by Madhouse) of the anime was incredible, and it was talked about for years. Unfortunately, it was followed by a weak second season. However, fans were still hopeful that OPM’s third season would be different.
Naturally, the studio was under a lot of pressure to deliver a better third season. Yet J.C. Staff failed to deliver again, prompting an overwhelming negative response online.

One Punch Man Season 3 Part 2 Release Date Has Been Confirmed
- One Punch Man Season 3 Part 2 has been announced
- OPM Season 3 Part 2 will release 2027
On December 28th, 2025, One Punch Man Season 3 Part 2 was officially announced. It was also confirmed that OPM Season 3 Part 2 will be released in 2027, and it will again be produced by J.C. Staff. Prior to the announcement, fans were hoping that the next season/installment would be tackled by a different project. There were even rumors that Madhouse might return and produce the subsequent installment.
Sadly, J.C. Staff will remain on duty. So, there is every chance that the next part could end up being just as horrible as the last two. One thing that fans should do is remain respectful towards the staff and everyone else involved in the project. No matter the outcome, fans shouldn’t harass the employees on social networking sites, especially when they have been set up to fail.
However, there is a small chance that J.C. Staff can get the next part right, as the studio will have more than one year to finish the production. With enough time and resources, the studio can deliver an adaptation that fans will remember for years to come.
One Punch Man Season 3 Was A Big Failure
One Punch Man’s third season performed horribly, and it wasn’t just because of the below-average animation. No. There were several factors for its poor performance. First, the animation was way off, and it felt that the studio had not put any effort into it. Secondly, there were certain instances in episodes where sequences looked more like a slide show.
Finally, the third season of One Punch Man had absurd censorship. All these reasons led to One Punch Man Season 3 flopping horribly, and earning a rating lower than 5 on MyAnimeList.
One Punch Man is available to stream on Netflix.
