Tom Holland Films Graveyard Scene for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, With Zendaya Glimpsed on Set – IGN

Spider-Man star Tom Holland has been spotted filming a scene set in a graveyard for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, with Zendaya also in attendance.

The scene looks to pick up from the end of 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, where Peter Parker mourns his late aunt. A gravestone spotted in set photos is labelled “May Parker”.

Photos posted to TikTok show Holland in costume wearing a beanie hat and scarf, suggesting the scene is set in a colder month than August. Close-up photos of Holland taken with fans show the actor with make-up on his face, making him look like he has been getting into some Spidey scrapes.

According to a fan who met Holland and Zendaya, the latter was on set simply to support her partner — rather than this being an appearance of her in-universe character MJ.

Zendaya is set to reappear in Brand New Day in some capacity, though fans expect her character to take more of a minor role, following the conclusion to No Way Home where she (and the rest of the world) were made to forget Peter Parker’s existence.

Instead, Brand New Day will feature Stranger Things’ Sadie Sink as an important new character (a new incarnation of Gwen Stacey, perhaps?)

Plot details for Brand New Day remain officially under wraps, though we know for certain that Jon Bernthal’s Punisher will appear, and Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner / Hulk will also reportedly be joining.

Production is now in full swing, with shooting taking place in central Glasgow over the past week. Holland at one point was filmed riding a tank through the Scottish city’s streets, while a stunt actor also took part in some physical swinging.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is currently set to be the next Marvel blockbuster to hit theaters, with a release date set for July 31, 2026.
