Two Best Ways to Get Hot-Spring Water in Pokopia for Unique Habitats

Jessica hails from Northern Ireland, and has written thousands of guides across sites such as Eurogamer, PCGamer, IGN, and PCGamesN. She also ventures into the lands of reviews, news, interviews, and features from time to time, but never strays too far from the guides shire. When Jessica’s not writing about games, she’s usually stressing over character builds in Honkai: Star Rail and Genshin Impact, or on the hunt for a new survival horror to test the strength of her vocal chords. She asks that you kindly stop recommending gargantuan RPGs to her, as they will become her new personality, and there’s only so much unnecessary tatt that her shelves can hold. This logic somehow doesn’t stop her from trying every new gacha RPG going, but looking at her playtime on those tends to have the same effect… sometimes.

You need to either transport existing Hot-Spring Water with the Suck ability, or make it by drinking Roserade Tea to get more Hot-Spring Water in Pokemon Pokopia. Each method has its drawbacks, with natural Hot-Spring Water only existing in certain areas, and Roserade Tea a random drop from vending machinesand daily items. Additionally, you need to complete the Bleak Beach storyline before you can actually use the Suck ability — so it might take a while before you can create a Hot-Spring Habitat with speed in Pokemon Pokopia.

How to Get Hot Spring Water in Pokopia

There are two ways you can get Hot-Spring Water in Pokopia:

  • Use the Suck ability to inhale while in Hot-Spring Water
  • Use Roserade Tea to fill your Ditto with Hot-Spring Water

Once Ditto’s belly is full of Hot-Spring Water, simply go to the area you wish to fill and press the A button to spit it out and create a Hot-Spring. Just make sure you’re spitting out the water in an enclosed area, so it doesn’t overflow and go everywhere.

If you’re in an area that already has a Hot-Spring (like Rocky Ridges), it’s best to use your Suck ability to inhale and transport that water to where you need to deposit it. Roserade Tea should only be used for making a Hot-Spring Habitat in Pokopia if there is no Hot-Spring Water in an area, as (unless you’ve been stockpiling it for a while), Roserade Tea is a rare item to come by. It’s rare because you only have a chance of getting Roserade Tea from vending machines once per real-time day. So make sure you’re interacting with all the vending machines you’ve found daily.

You can also get Roserade Tea from the ever-changing daily available items in the PC shop, but like vending machines, there’s only a random chance you can get Roserade Tea from these daily items.

The Suck ability is learned from Paldean Wooper in the Bleak Beach area, who spawns in a Marshy Tall Grass Habitat. This Habitat is made by using the Leafage ability to create four tiles of yellow grass by muddy water. However, you can only learn Suck from Paldean Wooper after Piplup gives you the “Make a Waterfall” request, and Piplup will only do this once you’ve completed the main story in Bleak Beach by waking Mosslax up.
