Um, Actually season 11 trailer is full of familiar faces returning for the Tournament of Champions

Dropout’s nerdy quiz show Um, Actually is set to premiere its 11th season this month, with plenty of fan favorites returning. The upcoming season will also bring back the Tournament of Champions for the first time since season 1.

Dropout staple Brennan Lee Mulligan, Critical Role’s Matt Mercer (not Mark), Ghost of Yōtei themself Erika Ishii, and more will compete in the Tournament of Champions, pitting previous Um, Actually winners against each other. Other contestants in season 11 include Jordan Myrick, Angela Giarratana, Zac Oyama, Jarvis Johnson, Ally Beardsley, and Oscar Montoya. Dimension 20‘s intrepid heroes Emily Axford and Brian Murphy will team up in a special tag team episode, with three pairs competing with one another.

Iwy Nwadiwe will return for his third season as host, along with Brian David Gilbert as fact checker for the nerdy quiz show. Instead of being a traditional trivia show, Um, Actually instead revolves around contestants being presented with statements about popular video games, books, movies, and other pop culture. One element of the statements will be wrong, and the contestants will buzz in to correct it. They have to start their correction with, “um, actually,” or they won’t get the point. You can play a version of it yourself at home with the Um, Actually… Board Game.

Season 11 of Um, Actually begins on Tuesday, Jan. 20. New episodes will stream on Dropout.tv every other week.
