If you haven’t spotted him in a while, yes, he’s still out there, sleeping peacefully. Season 1 is long over, and Blade is rightfully taking a break before joining other Heroes. However, the Marvel Rivals players are slightly worried for his well-being, as Blade has been sleeping for almost two months, and he’ll presumably continue to do so at least until Season 3.
Blade Is Sleeping Peacefully in Wakanda
The preview of the Central Park map delighted the players all the way back in February. The map itself seemed exciting, but Blade’s cameo stole the show. So, even before Season 1 started, the players expected him to join the Hero roster.
Sure, he was, um, indisposed in Season 1, but that should have meant he would join in Season 2, right? Well, no, the devs clearly stated they’d only add two Heroes per Season, and Emma Frost and Ultron were added for Season 2.
And what’s going on with Blade? He found a cozy place on the Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda map, and he’s sleeping off the stress. You can go and visit him, just don’t expect him to wake up any time soon.
One player, Nukafit, noted: “Blade has been asleep for 51 Days. Not only has he been asleep in the game for almost 2 months, the Third Season launch will be 91 days. So, if he isn’t the launch hero for Season 3, Blade will be in-game sleeping for well over 100 days. At this point, I think teasing him was a mistake”.

Marvel Rivals Players Don’t Mind Waiting for Blade to Wake up
So, what do the Marvel Rivals players think of Blade just sleeping it off on one of the maps? Well, the majority of players find this hilarious, and rightfully so. Here are some of the best comments we’ve stumbled upon.
As you know, ever since Ultron dropped, fliers have been deemed the new meta. Iron Man, Human Torch, Invisible Woman, and Ultron have been all the rage recently. Well, ShowNext445, joked: “Bro’s sleeping through the flyer meta…smart move”.
Another player noted: “From Daywalker to Daysleeper”. Many added that Blade deserved to rest after. being trapped for an entire Season. Others called him eepy or suggested he was faking it in order to skip school.
However, there might be a reason why he is sitting (or rather sleeping) this one out. Some players suggested that NetEase devs were waiting for the delayed Blade movie to drop. Well, the movie is set to be released on November 5, so we wouldn’t hold our breath waiting for Blade to wake up.
While you wait, make sure to enjoy Season 2.5 and everything that came with it. The first reviews of Ultron are quite positive, and the patch received some great reviews (except for poor Jeff). So, enjoy, and see you out there.
