The Bell of Demoncalm is a powerful Artifact in Where Winds Meet that weakens World Bosses, allowing players to take on their challenges despite being a few levels under the recommended threshold. But to use this ancient artifact located in Qinghe’s Peace Bell Tower, atop Moonveil Mountain, players will have to complete various levels of the Melodies of Peace first.
For those who are a little confused about this global buff and what the steps are to repair the Bell of Demoncalm, we have compiled a step-by-step guide, so that they know exactly where to go to fetch the materials required for this task, and how to reach the Bell Tower unscathed.
Where To Find Bell of Demoncalm
The Bell of Demoncalm is located on the Peak of Moonveil Mountain, in an old Bell Tower that has suffered greatly due to a battle between two powerful martial artists (no spoilers here, sorry). By climbing the tower and ringing this Bell, players will release a global buff that will Weaken all World Bosses in the Qinghe Region, lowering their defense and damage output.
To reach the tower, head south from Blissful Retreat, and climb the slope until you see an Aureate Brigand enemy camp. Kill the brigands, then start climbing the road that will eventually lead to a Waystone (Teleporter) and to the tower itself. Talk to the bellwright at the entrance, and he will tell the tale of how two martial artists recently fought and destroyed the tower.
To continue this ‘side quest’ and repair the Bell Tower, read the section below. It is not advised to climb the tower now, since players will only be able to retrieve a few clues and chests, and the rest will remain locked until they fix the Bell.
To climb the tower, players need to backtrack to the entrance, then check the left side where there’s a scaffolding. Climb on it, then keep moving up. Enter through the breach in the wall, and climb the stairs. Exit through the window where the traces of the fight left everything broken, and look up for a place to grapple: Press ‘G’ to climb.
Once on the roof, look to the right for an opening, following the makeshift bridges made with wooden planks. Continue up using the stairs, then once more, exit through the window and look for a piece of cloth to use and Grapple (Press G again).
Enter the tower through the opening to find the Bell of Demoncalm. If players don’t have the Bronze Bell Fragment yet, they won’t be able to do much yet. In the next section, there’s information on how to obtain this item, and how to repair the Bell to reduce the level of difficulty in World Boss Battles.
How To Repair Bell of Demoncalm in Where Winds Meet
As mentioned before, players will need to obtain the Bronze Bell Fragment, which is sold by Qi Sheng with the Melodies of Peace feature, which is basically a way to turn Oddities (Collectibles) into stats, unlocks, and, in this case, special Quest Items.
To obtain the Bronze Bell Fragment, players need to complete The Music of Yongping, the final unlock of Melodies of Peace, and all its Harmony nodes. Which is basically the same as gathering All Collectibles in the Qinghe Region. Once players unlock this, they need to approach Qi Sheng’s stall and search the table (Press E) to manually collect the Bronze Bell Fragment.
Once players have the Bronze Bell Fragment, they need to return to Moonveil Mountain, preferably using the teleport in the entrance of the Peace Bell Tower. Talk to the bellwright once more, and then climb the tower to repair the bell, and make it sound so that the World Bosses in the Qinghe Region receive a debuff, making them considerably easier to defeat.
