“Us Against the World” Marvel Rivals Players Share How to Deal With Being the Only Strategist in a Team With 5 Duelists

Let’s face it – all supports have been here, and often. You somehow end up being the only Strategist, while the rest of your team refuses to switch from Duelists, it’s something players have been dealing with since Marvel Rivals dropped. Usually, matches with 5 DPS and only one healer are doomed from the start. So, why not have some fun while you are getting obliterated by the opposing team?

One Strategist on Five Duelists Isn’t Enough

We know that the game is still relatively new, and the players are still getting used to different roles. Switching to a role you don’t know how to play can be annoying. However, for some reason, the majority of players choose to main a Duelist. Vanguards are especially unpopular, even though the new Hulk Costume just dropped, and The Thing was added just last week.

Although they lack variety, there usually is a Strategist on the team. We all know that having one healer on a team of six players is, well, extremely impractical. You keep running after your teammates, trying to heal them. If there’s a flier, you know they’ll make your game even worse. But, still, you try. And, when your team loses, your teammates will most likely blame you.

Well, why wouldn’t you have some fun, if you’re already going to lose? Why wouldn’t you enjoy the game? One player noted: “My favourite thing to do in QP when people lock 5 DPS and refuse to switch is to pick a healer and play them as a 6th DPS. Honestly, the tears are so delicious and the sweet irony of them telling you that you aren’t being a team player is the cherry on top”.

Another player perfected this idea: “Pick Mantis and only buff your damage and their damage but never heal. Then when they say you’re not healing, just saying you’re using ur abilities on them and play dumb”.

Marvel Rivals Players Just Ask For Less Duelists

Now, Marvel Rivals players know that picking a Strategist and then playing with a bunch of Duelists, while ignoring your “duties”, seems petty. And, well, it is quite petty. But, support mains are tired of having to babysit an entire team on their own.

Evil_phd noted: “That’s the only way to play it if the community wants to avoid Role Queue. Anything more than 3 DPS should instantly turn into 6 DPS”. Another player, Cold_Bag6942, added: “Exactly, 3 DPS is bad enough. Might not feel so bad for everyone else, but that solo tank is gunna have a really bad game. The worst is when it’s 4 DPS and someone goes support, like bruh now I’m going to have to help you. Just accept our fate and go 6 DPS”.

Would you agree that there are just too many Duelist mains? Truth be told, it’s starting to become too much, so, hopefully, those players will learn to enjoy maining other roles. In the meantime, we’ll be solo tanking, see you out there, and enjoy.
