Comments quickly flooded in, with many others sharing that they had received the same notice despite payment not being an issue. One disappointed fan shared that Walmart’s technical team is reportedly trying to resolve the issue, though they have little faith that it will be fixed in time. Another user shared that, after calling Walmart Support, they were only offered a $15 gift card for their trouble. This isn’t the only retailer having an issue prior to the console’s release, as last week, UK retailer GAME canceled some Switch 2 pre-orders as well.

While many fans who pre-ordered the new console from Walmart are now panicking ahead of launch day, Target will be selling Nintendo Switch 2 consoles online post-launch, limited to one per customer. The retailer will also have the Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle for sale via the Target app or Target.com starting on June 6. Units will be available while supplies last, and those eager to snag a console are encouraged to hurry before they’re gone.

Curiously, Nintendo is struggling to meet Switch 2 supply in Japan, with over half of eager players reportedly not securing a console pre-order. The country initially utilized a lottery system, with winners announced on April 24, and those failing to be selected automatically entered into a second round.
