“We Are Born for War” HellDads Present Operation Iron Veil, Their First Community Event in Helldivers 2

Move over Chaosdivers, there’s an even cooler subfaction in, um, the galaxy. HellDads have been around for a while, but this is the first time they are throwing a community event in Helldivers 2. The event is called Operation Iron Veil and you can join it from March 14 to March 17.

Who Are HellDads?

This game is for everyone who wants to spread Managed Democracy. Given the fact that many players want to do so, the player base has several subfactions, like the Chaosdivers, or the Freedom Alliance. HellDads are another subfaction, mainly made up of, well, dads.

The description of this subfaction’s Reddit sub states: “Welcome to HellDads: The Parental Corps of Super Earth! Balancing the duty to spread Managed Democracy with caring for family or loved ones is no easy task. Late-night lullabies, diaper changes, or going AFK for those who need you—we understand the struggle. HellDads is for anyone juggling life’s responsibilities with a passion for Helldivers 2, we’re united by our commitment to those we care for—even if it’s after bedtime”.

Players with children will truly appreciate this community, although we have to admit that pretty much anyone will love this concept. HellDads even have an official logo, and, truth be told, it’s amazing. It features a tired HellDad with three little future Helldivers.

The Trailer for the HellDads’ Upcoming Event in Helldivers 2

HellDads are calling the entire community to join this event in their organization. They also created quite a cinematic trailer for the Operation Iron Veil. As you may have guessed from the name of this operation, players will be dealing with the Automaton air forces.

One HellDad, Dispenser-of-Liberty, shared more details about this event. They noted: “HellDads, OPERATION IRON VEIL IS UPON US. The time has come to clip the wings of our machine oppressors. The Automatons believe their air superiority makes them untouchable, but they’ve never faced the righteous fury of the HellDads”.

They elaborated: “Operation Iron Veil is our answer. We will rip their gunships from the sky, turn their dropships to scrap, and remind these soulless abominations that no machine can outmatch HellDad resolve. Take up your arms, take to the field, and make the skies ours again. For Super Earth! March 14th 0800 EST March 17th 0800 EST. This is just the beginning.. Patres Inferni”.
