Following the destruction of three planets (Angel’s Venture, Moradesh, and Ivis), the Helldivers are finally actively working on stopping the Meridian Singularity. As you probably know, this wormhole is powered by the Illuminate in their attempt to make it destroy Super Earth. However, now that the Helldivers are a step away from stopping the Singularity, will the Squids just give up and leave? Well, no, of course. According to some leaks, the Illuminate will use the Gravitational Monoliths to destroy Super Earth in Helldivers 2.
Leaks Offer Details About the Illuminate Gravitational Monoliths
So, what are these Gravitational Monoliths? One of the most prolific Helldivers 2 leakers and data miners, IronS1ghts, shared some details they found in the game files.
They noted: “(Leak) Illuminate Gravitational Monoliths. The Illuminate will charge monoliths with Dark Fluid to harness gravitational energy, allowing them to manipulate the gravity of other celestial bodies”.
Unfortunately, the OP didn’t find a model of these Monoliths in the files. However, they did suggest how the Squids might use the Gravitational Monoliths. IronS1ghts added: “Seems like it may be used to manipulate the ‘movement’ of planets. Who knows, they may even manipulate the rotational speed of a planet, causing it to turn into a more glacial/scorched biome”.
The leaker didn’t elaborate further, but we’re hoping this might be related to the previously leaked lava biome. Or, if the Squids are going to once again move some planets, maybe the Helldivers will finally get the long-awaited Klen Dahth II Special Event. Either way, there’s no way of telling what the devs have planned.
Helldivers Can’t Wait to See What’s Next
Obviously, the Helldivers 2 community loved the leaks of the Illuminate Gravitational Monoliths. The players gladly raved about what might be coming.
One player, Grox, noted: “I have a feeling that this is going to be a plan B for the Illuminate if the Meridian Singularity ultimately fails. Just send whole planets into Super Earth using the gravity manipulation. And we would have to destroy the monoliths to stop that from happening”.
Other players, such as EVIL WIZARD, theorized on what these Monoliths would look like. This player suggested: “I’m pretty sure the model will just be the same as the Dark Energy Monoliths currently in game”.
Now, as we said, for the time being, there’s no official info about any of this. So, the only thing that Helldivers can do is to keep fighting to stop the Singularity. That way, the Squids will have to come out of hiding. So, join us on Nivel 43, the current Major Order might be crucial. For Liberty and Super Earth.
