What are we all playing this weekend?

I write to you from the heart of an on-going emergency. Somebody or something keeps digging holes in the notionally shared lawn outside my block, and the neighbours who actually own their flats are mounting a witchhunt. It’s brilliant! They’ve been taking photos from multiple angles and accusing the local kids. As far as I’m concerned, all this is divine vengeance on the building owner for having somebody mow the grass twice a month. It looks like the Bay Of Tranquility out there. The holes are an improvement. Anyway, here’s what we’re all playing this weekend.

Ollie
I won my first Trackmania Cup Of The Day yesterday. Granted, it was in division 23, but still, first win! Hopefully next time I win it’ll be a slightly more celebration-worthy division. So I’ll be continuing to play that every day, and in between that I’ll be delving further into Clair Obscur (which continues to be a game made pretty much exactly for me), and embarking on some Helldiving excursions with the pals for the first time in a year or so.

Jeremy
Hasn’t been seen for days. Could he be our phantom hole-digger??? Must remember to have his locker searched for implements of burrowing.

More Doom: The Dark Ages, probs. I’ve been wondering how far you can get by exclusively using the shield as your sole demon-killing instrument, not counting the mandatory turret or dragon bits, so might try it. Assuming the attempt to disregard his guns doesn’t cause an enraged Doomguy to slam a fist clean through my monitor and into my face, killing me instantly.

Graham
All the chatter about Doom: The Dark Ages has made me reinstall Doom (2016). Steam tells me I’ve previously played it for 25 minutes, but I have no memory of it or why I stopped, so I’m hoping I find it engrossing and have a new trilogy to plow through.

Nic
I don’t believe Nic owns any trowels, shovels or even extra-large spoons, but perhaps he is secretly a squirrel. It would explain a lot.

Edwin
This weekend I choo choo choose to steam ahead with a really useful roguelike deckbuilder I’m currently reviewing. I will fill the time between connections with jaunts into The Labyrinth Of The Demon King. Bonus, highly not-safe-for-children recommendation: Cronenbergian, aha, dating sim Erostasis.

Brendan
Still threatening to start Clair Obscur. Still putting it off because I am afraid of the time investment. Also I have to dig a hole in the garden for my mum, so that might take priority. [!!! – Ed]

But you, reader dear, what are you playing this weekend?…
