Alright, my fellow Destructoidians, let’s do this nice and fast. In and out, five-minute adventure! It’s that time of the week where we discuss what we are planning to play, or are playing, this weekend, and I have a feeling there will be a lot of the same comments this time around.
Let’s not beat around the bush. It’s a grueling week of massive new releases across multiple platforms with the Nintendo Switch 2 finally here after months of tariff stress, waiting, and delays, alongside all the lovely games that come with a brand new system.
I’ll be playing a lot of Mario Kart World this weekend myself when I get a chance to relax from watching everything going on with Summer Games Fest. I’m holding back from picking up the woeful Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour after my colleague said how bad it was, and how you needed every accessory to play the darn thing. So much for being ‘only $10.’
Outside of the Switch 2, though, Deltarune Chapter 3 + 4 have been released, and I need to get on top of my weird route and unlock all the secret endings on my other files when time allows, after speedrunning through the game to help cover it on-site the past few days. Dune Awakening is also out, and I’ve been crying for a new MMO, but I’m unsure if this is the one for me.
I also need to find some time to play more of Elden Ring Nightreign, but I’m honestly waiting for them to implement a duos mode so I can play with just my brother and not have to worry about matchmaking for a third randomer we have no hopes of communicating with. So I think I’ll be putting that one on the back burner for now.
