That’s simply horrifying! Those slippery Squids managed to stay undetected while they took over several cities. Now, it’s up to Helldivers 2 players to liberate the cities and complete the latest Major Order. So, let’s see what needs to be done and how you can contribute.
Helldivers Have to Liberate Squid-Infested Cities for the Major Order
Mere minutes after the Helldivers completed the week-long MO on the bug front, a new one began. The Second Galactic War truly is unpredictable! This time, the MO is on the freshly revealed Squid front. As always, a briefing arrived with it.
Several days ago, the Squids sabotaged the SE Satellite Observation Network. Thankfully, Super Earth scientists managed to resolve this issue, and they discovered the Illuminate have taken over cities on multiple Federation planets. Not only that, but these cities were twisted into “totalitarian strongholds”.
The briefing states: “The fate of the millions trapped within these altered cityscapes is unknown. Their conversion into hostile biological assets is probable. They are considered compromised until proven otherwise”.
Obviously, it’s up to Helldivers to dismantle all non-compliant xeno-structures, extract the uncorrupted civilians, and eradicate all hostile elements to prevent their resurgence. In other words, Helldivers have to liberate two planets: Alairt III and Alamak VII. They have around 4 days and 22 hours left, as of the time of writing this article.
Players Are Ready to Spread Managed Democracy
As always, Helldivers 2 players are ready to fry some Squids and liberate all the cities for the Major Order. Even though liberating two planets in almost five days doesn’t sound like a huge task, keep in mind that the liberation of mega cities requires more time. So, it’s quite possible that this MO will turn out to be a challenge.
DaDawkturr stated: “Tell the Squids I’m serving dinner. And the main course is my gun”. There were also plenty of comments about frying calamari for dinner, or “Calamari is back on the menu” posts. One player, dictatormateo, noted: “I hate them mf with a passion. As soon as I get off work, I’m about to commit some war crimes”.
