What is the Most Useless Button in the Game? For Once, The First Descendant Players Unanimously Agree on Something

The First Descendant players always had differing opinions on various subjects, but this time they agree on one topic: what is the most useless button in the whole game? Read on to see if you agree with them.

Most Useless Button in The First Descendant

When Nexon implemented the Season 2 update, they added Fellows (in the form of Dogs for starters, but they mentioned that other animals are planned). These little guys are there to help you out, by picking up dropped items in the vicinity, and auto-dismantling (which recently became a lot better). Moreover, the higher the level, the more effective they are (larger pickup radius, and faster auto-dismantling).

To increase their level, you “feed” them with specific items that you find or research during your playtime. When you want to feed, ie, upgrade your Fellow, you can select one of the items and choose the amount you want to use, with the option to add one by one, or ten at once (“+1” and “+10” buttons). You have the Fortified Supplement, Special Synthetic Calcium, and Ultimate Protein Compound.

Ultimate Protein Compond is the most powerful of the three and has an almost legendary status, as it is so rare and hard to obtain, that the majority of players have already maxed out their doggos without even using one. Getting even one is almost a point of pride for some players. That is why The First Descendant players consider the “Add +10 Ultimate Protection Compounds” the most useless button in the game, as it will never ever be pressed.

One player, named kaori_rivy on Reddit, started a thread on this exact topic. Lots of players chime in, some saying that they never saw even one (or found them after maxing out their Fellow), and others that they managed to find one after hundreds of runs. Some even jokingly claim that Nexon forgot to add these to the game. Others are even surprised that Ultimate Protein Compound is not sold in the store, as the players would most definitely purchase them. 

We all know that the devs simply used the same mechanics/code for all of the Fellow XP items. But, when you think about it, it is extremely ridiculous to have the +10 button on something that’s harder to find than Bigfoot.
