What an exciting time to be a Helldiver! Players are finally exploring the Gloom, with new mission types, a possible new bug, and rumors of an old enemy. Since the unfortunate event in which Angel’s Venture was destroyed, the focus has been on the bug front. Maybe Helldivers should pay a bit more attention to Meridia? Some eagle-eyed players noticed something… strange. The first planet in Meridia’s path toward Super Earth has seemingly moved. So, what are Helldivers 2 developers doing with Moradesh, while the players are too busy fighting on Fori Prime?
Moradesh… Moved?
While Helldivers were happily fighting the Spore Burst bugs, something big happened, and the majority of players didn’t even notice. However, once the players started noticing, the news of Moradesh spread through the community like wildfire.
In the pictures below, you can see the position of Moradesh (and Ivis, the next planet!) changed slightly. We took the picture on the left on February 14, when the path of the Meridian Singularity became apparent. As for the picture on the right, we took it on February 20. Now, it’s quite obvious that Moradesh is for some reason moving closer to the line presenting the trajectory of the Meridian Singularity.
Helldivers 2 Dev Explains Who Is Behind This
Naturally, Helldivers 2 players started collecting evidence and asking the developers to explain why Moradesh moved. At first, the devs denied anything happened. Jojo (QA Lead) jokingly insisted: “Any claims that Moradesh is moving are dissident lies”.
However, the players continued pressuring the devs for an answer. Finally, B Vitamin confirmed that Moradesh moving wasn’t a collective hallucination. They noted: “I see a conversation happening internally about Moradesh’s alleged movement. I dunno what the intent is but or what’s going on with that, game master moves and backend shenanigans aren’t really my area and they’re all talking in words and numbers I don’t understand, so I’ll just say that the team is aware that happened”.
So, J.O.E.L is behind whatever is happening. Truthfully, with everything that J.O.E.L has thrown our way, we are a bit worried about what’s to come. However, that won’t stop us from spreading Managed Democracy. We can’t do anything for Moradesh currently, but we can fight on Fori Prime for the Major Order. Will you join us?
