Where to find Fireballs in Arc Raiders

Jump Links

Fireballs and Fireball Burners are required for a few reasons in Arc Raiders, but they’re frustratingly elusive. The first reason you’ll need to find a Fireball is likely for the “What Goes Around” quest, but you’ll also need them for “Fight Fire With Fire” and “The Right Tool” as well.

But what even is a Fireball, anyway? As you may have guessed, it’s another type of Arc enemy, but it’s one that is somewhat harder to find. They’re spherical, with orange lights on each side. When they spot you, they’ll roll towards you and spew fire at you unless you can kill them quick enough.

Here’s where to find Fireballs and obtain Fireball Burners in Arc Raiders.

Fireballs can be found in multiple locations on the Dam Battlegrounds map, including but not limited to the following:

  • Control Tower
  • Research & Administration
  • Testing Annex
  • Water Treatment Control
  • Hydroponic Dome Complex

We’ve personally encountered them when ascending Control Tower, through a breachable door and up a zipline. We also found some in the Eastern Station on the Buried City map, so it may be the case that each of the metro stations can have them within.

We recommend Dam Battlegrounds if you want to get the job done quickly though, because it’s the first map that players unlock and a little easier to deal with.

How to get Fireball Burners in Arc Raiders

Fireball Burners can be found by simply killing and looting Fireballs. However, shooting a Fireball on sight won’t do much; you’ll need to wait until they prepare to emit fire, which is when they open up slightly, as otherwise they’re armored.

Fireball Burners are used to upgrade your Refiner, but primarily you’ll need to kill an Arc enemy using a Fireball Burner for the “What Goes Around” quest. Fireball Burners can be thrown like a grenade to start a small fire, but they’re not particularly strong, so either take a few with you to complete this objective or make sure your enemy is weak first.
