We know, we now, one shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. Still, the majority of people have some, um, opinions, based on their previous experiences. However, you should always give something a try, even if you’re positive you won’t like it. Some Marvel Rivals Heroes turned out to be much better than anybody expected them to be.
Marvel Rivals Players Put Jeff on Top of the List
We’ve all been there, you see a new character added to your favorite game and you can’t help but roll your eyes. Whether the character in question is “childish”, a cliché, or just “annoying”, you can always find something wrong with it.
Well, Marvel Rivals has its fair share of “strange” Heroes (we aren’t alluding to Doctor Strange!). We’ll start with our favorite – Jeff the Land Shark, of course. We’ll admit that we saw Jeff and thought: “oh, come on”.
However, we are happily converted now. Jeff turned out to be a versatile and extremely helpful Hero, and fully deserves being on the roster. Unsurprisingly, many players agreed with this. It took some of them more than three months to accept and appreciate Jeff, but they got there.
Coolsharp noted: “For me it’s Jeff. I decided to give him a try and he is so cute but also a really reliable/fun strategist. I’m a vanguard/tank main but I want to learn at least 1 or 2 other characters from the other types. I like Jeff”.

Which Other Heroes Surprised the Community?
Aside from Jeff, there are other often overlooked Heroes. Now, you live, you learn, so you might want to try giving a chance to some of these Heroes. Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it! You never know, maybe one of these Heroes turns out to be the one for you.
One player, MR_MEME_42, suggested Peni. They explained: “Peni, I just didn’t think that I would enjoy playing as her as I typically like playing more aggressive tanks who make space in the middle of fights. But after playing her for some missions, she quickly became my favorite Vanguard as her kit is extremely fun if you know how to use her right”.
Sometimes players hesitate to main some Heroes as they seem too complicated, for example, Loki. HustleThaGOD stated: “Loki. On paper his kit just seems too complicated for me, but once I gave him a try, it clicked in two matches and now he’s my most played support in 1.5”. Another player, xSophus, added: “I didn’t like Magik and Groot at first, bc I didn’t understand them. They are pretty fun and OP”.
Of course, the list goes on, but let’s also mention the Invisible Woman, Adam Warlock, and Magneto. The entire point is – you shouldn’t be afraid to try something new just because you don’t love it at first glance. We hope you’ll give some of these Heroes a chance! In the meantime, enjoy the event, and see you out there.
