“Who’s Cutting Onions?” Players Share Wholesome Stories of Bonding With Their Families Through Marvel Rivals

There is something special about Marvel Rivals. One of the best things about this game is its community. It’s only been a couple of months since the game dropped, and the community is already so supportive and standing up for important topics. Sprinkle in thoughtful developers and frequent content additions, and you’ve got yourself quite a good game. Marvel Rivals quickly became quite appealing to people of all ages, making it a perfect choice for families to bond over.

Marvel Rivals Player Shares a Heart-Warming Story of Bonding With Their Father

Recently, one Marvel Rivals player shared how much impact this game had on their relationship with their father. Raihan500k shared the wholesome story about how their dad, who had previously thought gaming was a waste of time, became an avid Marvel Rivals fan.

Once when the OP was playing the game, their dad noted that it looked “kinda fun”, and asked to try. The dad loved the game and probably loved spending time with his kid even more. Thus, the duo started enjoying the game together on a daily level.

The OP noted: “Turns out, he’s lowkey become a Marvel fan. Fast forward two months, and now we’re playing Marvel Rivals together every night, grinding matches, and even watching Marvel movies. Honestly, it’s every guy’s dream to play games with their dad, especially at this age. Every day feels like the best day of my life”.

Families Spending Time on a Mutual Hobby Is Important

This wonderful story prompted many Marvel Rivals players to share stories of bonding with their families, and the importance of doing some hobbies together with your loved ones. Many of us grew up in households where gaming was considered a waste of time. So, it’s simply amazing to see one’s parents go against their beliefs in order to spend time with their children.

ProYunk shared: “I love this. I’m mid 30’s and I play with my 10, 8, 5 year olds. Right now they’re pretty hard-stuck on Fortnite, but we play Rivals sometimes too. Our time together is so sweet. We just have fun together. The stress of the day goes away. Just time with my kids”.

AmEn-MiNii stated: “This is gonna be such a core memory for you and that’s awesome. I still remember the day my dad showed interest in a game I played as a kid and I handed him a controller and he just kinda roamed around and killed a few things and he loved it”.

Every kid remembers the moment their parent showed interest in their hobby. So, remember to show interest in whatever hobby your (future) kid has. Playing solo usually isn’t all that fun, but playing with your loved one will always be rewarding. So, ask a family member, or a loved one to join you, you both might be surprised by how wonderful that experience is. Enjoy and see you out there.
