It looks like the devs have something new for us every Friday. And this time, they revealed that you can now try out the Open Beta Test for the upcoming REPO update.
REPO is still in Early Access, and the devs are working diligently to get us even closer to the official 1.0 version. They posted a couple of Q&A videos, where we found some interesting facts about the game, like what R.E.P.O. stands for, or whether the game will ever be free to play. After those videos, the fans wondered when we would hear again from the devs, Semiwork. In an unexpected twist, they released a new video where they announced that we can now join the Open Beta of REPO to test out the new features and leave feedback.
How to Try Out the Open Beta Test for the Upcoming REPO Update?
On May 2, Semiwork released another video, where they say that the R.E.P.O. Open Beta Test is now live, for the upcoming update, and that we can join in the fun right now.
“We are on the home stretch now with the first update. Things are looking bright, and we know you guys are eager to try out all the new stuff we’ve added and so we’ve decided to do an Open Beta Test for the new update. And it is available right now!”
To access the Open Beta Test
- Go to your Steam Library, right-click on REPO, and select Properties.
- From there, select the “Betas” tab.

- In the “Beta Participation” switch from “None” to “beta – beta branch”.

And there you have it!
“With this, you guys can help us finalize the first update by providing us with feedback.”
You can report bugs and send feedback on official Discord channels, namely on “beta_bugs” and “beta_feedback” channels, found under the BETA tab.
“As stated many times before, we are so thankful for this amazing community, and we want to involve you guys directly, wherever we can.”
This is the perfect time to reveal this as the weekend is upon us. Happy gaming!
