“You Don’t Need All the Crowns!” Monster Hunter Wilds Community Issues a PSA About Crown-Hunting

There aren’t all that many players who don’t care about achievements at all. In fact, the majority of players love collecting various things. That’s why Crown-hunting is a big thing in Monster Hunter Wilds. However, some players will go too far in their quest to collect all the Crowns and ruin the experience for other players.

Crown-Hunting Ruins the Game for Some Monster Hunter Wilds Players

As you probably know, there are plenty of players who have already gone through all the content in MH Wilds. So, while they’re waiting for the update and some new challenges, they are trying to get all the achievements they can. Thus, the Crown-hunting has become quite a problem in Monster Hunter Wilds.

If you’re wondering why it would be a problem that some players want to unlock all the achievements, well, in order to do so, they’re joining and leaving hunts. This is obviously distracting for the players actually fighting the Monster, not to mention completely unhelpful.

One player, Zenithine, noted: “Please stop joining and leaving hunts just because the monster doesn’t have a crown. Last night I had TWELVE people in a row join and immediately leave again against a tempered Arkveld. No one is going to look at your hunter profile, and no one cares how many monsters you’ve killed. Just play the damn game”.

Another player, verdantbadger, had a similar experience. They shared: “It’s been happening to me too, I put out a lot of SOS flares for double tempered monster fights for fun or loot. People kept coming, then leaving. And, I was wondering if I was doing something wrong… But then, when in the arena with gore, I realized what was going on; people one by one would join, go to the edge with the binoculars, then dip out, and it dawned on me that they were crown hunting”.

How to Get the Crowns Without Disturbing Other Players?

Now, don’t get us wrong, everyone should be able to play the game however they want, as long as their actions don’t ruin the game for other players. Unfortunately, Crown-hunting will most likely ruin the game for the other Monster Hunter Wilds players.

Of course, there are a couple of solutions for this problem. The first, and most obvious, one is to stay and fight. Sure, it’ll take you more time to collect all the Crowns, but this game is about hunting, after all.

Alternatively, you don’t have to join someone’s hunt. PurpleArtemeon stated: “It’s literally faster to use the Arena or just explore to get the crowns, compared to joining and leaving”.

Finally, there is another option that is maybe even the most hassle-free. You can join the Monster Hunter Wilds Discord channel. There is even a section named crown-sharing. Yes, it can be that easy to find Crowns.

We’ve said it before, and we’ll always say it again, everyone is playing the game to relax and unwind, so always try not to ruin other players’ experience. So, enjoy, let others enjoy, and, of course, happy hunting!
