One user, Nostalg1cMusician, had a wonderful experience with Valve Customer Service recently. This user explained they were living in Egypt, and they had a Steam Deck that was acquired through a third-party reseller in Poland.
Unfortunately, this user’s Steam Deck gave out after only a year, and having no other options, they decided to contact Valve Support. Believe it or not, the Custome Service helped this user and sent them a new device.
The OP elaborated: “After desperation, I decided to send to Steam anyway (fully expecting them to be like yeah can’t help you), and I never knew Customer Support could actually make me feel SUPPORTED. They literally told me that they’re completely gonna send a new one, no fees. They then waited for me for 2 months until I was able to get the Steam Deck to an eligible country with a friend”.
Not only that, but once the process started, everything happened quite fast. Once the OP’s friend dropped the faulty device at the UPS, it took only five days for the new one to arrive. That’s what we call dedication.
