It has been a while since we had any news about Little Nightmares and the supposed third part. But that is about to change, as a new Little Nightmares showcase event is about to go live on YouTube.
Little Nightmares is a popular series of puzzle-platformers with a horror vibe. The first game came out in April 2017 and received positive reviews, with gamers liking this blend of a platformer and slightly disturbing atmosphere. The second part (or rather, a prequel), Little Nightmares II, was released in 2021, and just like its predecessor, it was praised by both players and critics. Both of these games were made by Tarsier Studios from Sweden, with the Enhanced Edition of Little Nightmares II being taken over by Supermassive Games (Until Dawn). It was revealed that Supermassive Games are working on the third instalment, and that it is scheduled for sometime in 2025. And now, it looks like we are in for some official announcements.
Little Nightmares Showcase Event Starts Very Soon
On June 19, Bandai Namco, the publishers of the whole Little Nightmares series, revealed that a showcase event is scheduled for June 24 (the same date Death Stranding 2 Early Access goes live). The exact time is 12pm PST / 3pm EST / 8pm BST / 9pm CEST. The event can be watched live on YouTube or via this article and the video below.
As for what to expect, it is almost guaranteed that we will get some info about Little Nightmares III. Preferably trailers or demo videos, but at the very least, the expected release date. It has been four years since the last Little Nightmares title, and naturally, the fans are incredibly excited about this, with some speculating, based on the feature image, that the plot will revolve around a carnival of sorts.
In any case, it is just a couple of hours before the event goes live, and we’re all excited to see what is in store for us.
