ARC Raiders has warned that players involved in item duplication attempts could face strict action, while also announcing that Denuvo Anti-Cheat is set to play a larger role in monitoring its multiplayer experience. One of the first such exploits emerged when players discovered a way to duplicate weapons and ammo, which ultimately made ARC Raiders‘ PvP unplayable for some people for a while.
When duplication glitches in ARC Raiders peaked, Embark Studios announced the first wave of strict action against players who had “excessively” abused them. However, similar exploits have continued to circulate among players, seemingly prompting Embark Studios to tighten its rules.

Denuvo Anti-Cheat in ARC Raiders Gets Expanded to More Players
On June 16, 2026, Embark Studios released update 1.33.0 for ARC Raiders, bringing a list of minor changes and bug fixes. The patch notes also included an announcement regarding item duplication glitches, signaling stricter action against players who abuse them. “We have been focusing on addressing item duplication and taking strict measures against those involved,” the patch notes stated. “As part of our ongoing efforts against unfair play,” Embark Studios added, “we’re continuing to expand Denuvo Anti-Cheat to more players.”

Similar to the Swedish studio’s previous warnings, the new statement does not explain how these “strict” actions affect flagged players. However, a quick look at Embark Studios’ EULA, specifically the Ban and Enforcement Policy section, shows that the developer considers “exploiting bugs or glitches for unfair advantage” a form of misconduct that can result in temporary or permanent bans. That said, bans have been a tricky subject in ARC Raiders, as Embark Studios has a track record of penalizing players unjustifiably, such as banning players who were only using accessibility-style controllers.
To be fair, Embark Studios’ recent announcement suggests that the strict actions will result from a more thorough process. “It’s detailed, methodical work, and we truly appreciate your patience while we see it through,” the developer note said. However, it remains to be seen whether a slow process will have the deterrent effect needed to stop ARC Raiders players from exploiting bugs and glitches. The game also currently has several other glitches, such as wall-hack issues, that may require similar treatment, though it remains to be seen whether they will also trigger more strict actions.

The studio has also announced a new in-game message aimed at informing players who report cheaters and keeping them updated on the enforcement team’s actions. Players will receive an “Action Notice” whenever their report results in action from the development team, such as a ban issued to the reported player. They will also continue receiving loot compensation messages, which notify them about items returned to their inventory after being lost to an identified ARC Raiders cheater.
For now, fans will need to wait for more updates from the development team to see how the actions against glitch exploiters affect ARC Raiders PvP. Embark Studios has adjusted the cadence of its updates, spacing major content releases further apart. As a result, the next major wave of changes for ARC Raiders is expected in October 2026, while the studio continues to roll out bug-fixing patches and hotfixes in the meantime.
