A Closer Look at Every Map in Meccha Chameleon

Meccha Chameleon launched with six maps, and its explosion of popularity ensures that more content is well on the way. If it’s not the community making some of the best maps on the market (which we’ll showcase in a related article below), then it’s the developers making sure there’s an abundance of maps to play on!

Below, we’ll showcase all the vanilla maps in Meccha Chameleon, along with some important visuals that might give you an idea of where to hide (or where to hunt) in your next game.

  2. Sewer
  3. Backrooms
  4. Indoor County
  5. Penguin Hotel
  6. Sugerland
  7. Osaka

Hide-and-Seek Mansion

One of two mansion-like maps available is the Hide-and-Seek Mansion. It features an intricate and busy lobby, a large industrial kitchen, a full library, a laundry room, and some storage areas. This map is quite large and more enjoyable in larger groups.

Sewer

With a lot of graffiti and miscellaneous objects around this sewer, you’re sure to find a fun place to hide. While this map doesn’t focus as much on rooms, a lot is going on along the walkways of the sewer pipes. This is another one that would be best for medium or large groups.

Backrooms

If your hiders are looking for a bit more of a challenge, the Backrooms map is where you’ll find it. With how spaced out and angular all the features are on this map, and how likely it is that the hunters could come from any angle, finding that perfect spot to blend is a bit trickier here, so you may need some hiding tips if you’re newer to the game playing this map. We recommend medium to large groups here.

Indoor Country

With a blend of plywood props and full-size items like crops, this Indoor Country map looks like a movie set for a whimsical farm. There are a lot of tricks hiders can use here. The size of the map isn’t too big, so this one can be fun with a smaller group.

Penguin Hotel

The second mansion-like map is the Penguin Hotel. It’s a luxuriously outfitted hotel with penguin decor and balloons all around. There are lots of patterns to copy, items to mimic, and heights to play with. This map is good for medium or large groups.

Sugarland

Candyland has come to life in Meccha Chameleon with the Sugarland map. There are many sweet treats to get close to and heights to explore. Although this is a smaller map, it’s still a blast for both small and large groups. All the colors and items around it give players a good chance to find a hiding space that will keep them hidden for quite a while.

Osaka

Another good map for small groups is Osaka. This map takes just a small corner of the market-like Japanese streets to hide inside. Larger groups may struggle to find spots that aren’t on top of each other since this map doesn’t have as much variety in color and textures.
