Below, we’ll share everything you need to know about Assault Waves, from the secret bonuses and discounts you can get, and what happens if you fail it, so you know if the pressure is worth it or not.
Black Ops 7: How to Get the Nekomancer Cat Wonder Weapon in Kowakujo
The Nekomancer is the Cat Wonder Weapon in Kowakujo, and here’s every part you need to collect, and how to follow the paw prints.
Assault Waves in Kowakujo, Explained
Usually, every 7+ rounds, you will get an Assault Wave appear on your HUD. Assault Waves are basically Kowakujo’s Max Ammo rounds, but instead of just fighting a unique enemy variant for a Max Ammo, you’ll be fighting a horde of the undead (while a dragon spits out Scorch Zombies to add even more trouble).
You’ll know it’s an Assault Wave because an air-raid siren will play, and you’ll be given 45 seconds to make it to your destination to prepare for the incoming Assault Wave!
Assault Waves will force you to go to one location, which is marked on your HUD and map, and you’ll need to protect the Ward, which is the unique symbol on the statues that can be interacted with to purchase the Ghostly Riflemen Trap (which are useful during Assault Waves). You’ll need to protect this location for over 60 seconds, and then you’re rewarded with a Max Ammo!
You can also purchase Scorestreaks and Equipment at a discount from Crafting Tables during Assault Waves, so before the encounter starts, make sure you’re purchasing these items, as you’re going to need the extra firepower to survive the number of zombies that spawn! But, as the rounds get higher, the zombies will get tougher, and the Komainu will take more damage, which is why you might want to know what happens if you fail an Assault Wave.
What Happens If You Fail an Assault Wave in Kowakujo?
Failing an Assault Wave will see the zombies push to the next area, where they will once again begin attacking the Komainu. Failing the wave will also reset the timer, giving zombies even more time to destroy the next location.
All that happens if the zombies destroy the Komainu is that you will have to reactivate it by defending the location like a capture point.
