Luna VIII update is coming soon to Genshin Impact, bringing with it a new character in the form of Sandrone. The upcoming update will also feature plenty of events, new banners, and more.

Genshin Impact Luna VIII update release countdown
Luna VIII update goes live on July 1 in most regions of the world. If you’re located in the United States, the update will be available on the previous day. The countdown below will expire once the update is available on all platforms.
The countdown is based on the following times.
- 8pm PDT (June 30)
- 10pm CDT (June 30)
- 11pm EDT (June 30)
- 3am UTC
- 4am BST
- 5am CEST
This is based on the usual schedule followed by MiHoYo for every major Genshin Impact launch. Take note that there will be maintenance before the launch when the servers will be taken down. You also have to update your client to the latest version to enjoy all the new content.
What to expect from Genshin Impact Luna VIII update
While Sandrone is a key addition to the new update, we have more waiting for us.
- A new region is coming as part of the update. Players will be able to board a spacecraft and journey beyond the skies of Teyvat.
- A brand new Elemental Reaction in the form of Stellar Conduct. It creates an area that raises the party’s Stellar-Conduct damage, Cryo damage, and Electro damage. It also reduces the opponent’s Physical resistance, and it can also add unique enhancements to Cryo and Electro characters.
- The first half of the update will also feature Citlali along with Sandrone. The second half will feature Columbina and Raiden Shogun.
Additionally, the update will also feature the time-limited Fontinalia Film Festival that allows you to invite Charlotte to your party for free. There will be a Summer-themed lobby as well for everyone to enjoy.
