Sephiria 1.0 launched on the last day of July, and there are plenty of different weapons you can use. There is no one perfect weapon, since a lot depends on the enemies you face. Every weapon type within the game has its own set of strengths and weaknesses that you need to manage. Some might be great for killing close by enemies, while others excel at range.
In this guide, I will help you figure out how the six available weapon types fare in the current meta and which ones are better compared to their counterparts.
Complete Sephiria 1.0 weapons tier list
I have used three different tiers to separate the six available weapon types in the game.
- S-tier weapons are the best possible choices. They’re easy to learn and extremely effective in the meta.
- A-tier weapons are great alternatives for S-tier choices.
- B-tier weapons are workable, but you’ll need to put some extra time and effort.
S-tier
| Weapon | Stats | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Greatsword | Normal Attack: 1.75 Dash Attack: 1.25 Special Attack: 4 |
Greatsword is my favorite choice, purely due to the amount of damage it does with every swing. While the attack speed is extremely low, every hit will leave a telling sign on the battlefield.
If you like its normal moves, you are going to love its special attack even more. With it, you will unleash a powerful spinning slash that can target multiple enemies caught within the radius. While it is a harder weapon to learn compared to something like the Sword and Shield, the Greatsword’s damage and AOE abilities make it a great choice. |
| Staff | Normal Attack: 1 Dash Attack: 0.8 Special Attack: 2.5 |
Arguably the most versatile weapon in the game. You can try out a number of different builds with the Staff. While the core objective is to keep your distance and land and hit enemies with magic spells, you can do a lot of elemental damage as well. Additionally, you can always use your special attacks while bypassing the Deliver to Normal attacks. This is a huge advantage compared to what other weapons offer. I have run the Staff in S tier due to this one specific reason. |
A-tier

| Weapon | Stats | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Sword and Shield | Normal Attack: 1 Dash Attack: 0.8 Special Attack: 2.5 |
This is the best weapon to learn the game. It’s well-balanced and excels in both offense and defense. Moreover, it’s one of the easiest weapons to learn in terms of difficulty.
The basic combo relies on three consecutive hits. The shield provides you with defensive protection. You can combine the two to perform a sweeping special attack. It also comes with decent stagger potential and speed. |
| Crossbow | Normal Attack: 1 Dash Attack: 1 Special Attack: 2 |
The Crossbow is a good, safe choice if you are a beginner and want to try something ranged. Since you don’t need to get close to enemies, you can save yourself from some dangerous situations.
The damage is pretty reliable, and you can sustain it over a long period of time. The reduced movement speed is not my favorite. While manageable, it will still create some hindrance. The reload mechanic with the Crossbow also means that you will need to be very specific with your shots. For these reasons, I have put it on A tier. |
| Dagger | Normal Attack: 0.58 Dash Attack: 1.1 Parry: 1.3 Fury: 4.8 |
The Dagger is one of the most powerful weapons in the entire game.
It is the fastest weapon you can wield and is perfect for those who love to focus on a build with mobility. You can easily rush in combat with the Dagger and come out safe on most occasions. Every hit, however, has very limited damage and stagger potential. |
B-tier
| Weapon | Stats | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Katana | Normal Attack: 1.1 Dash Attack: 0.8 Special Attack: 2.34 |
The Katana is a pretty unique weapon that allows you to switch between the Sword and Kick stances. While you will be using the Sword stance more often, the Kick stance consumes MP to launch a powerful attack.
The Katana offers a lot of flexibility, but the inherent playstyle feels a tad too complex for my liking. It can be an extremely difficult weapon to master for beginners. |
While following the meta makes it easier for you to clear the game, try to have fun with your choices. What might be S-tier for me (due to how I play) might be A-tier and vice versa. Hence, always use a choice that matches with your preferred playstyle.
