Agefield High: Rock the School is now available on PC, and the opening-night performances are pretty rough. Several users, including myself, seem to suffer from the poor optimization, which is evident from the similar-looking Steam reviews.
Thankfully, you can make some tweaks to at least play the game without major lag issues.
Best Agefield High: Rock the School graphics settings
Before I deep dive into settings, here’s my current setup.
- AMD Radeon 9060XT 16 GB
- AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
- 32 GB of DDR4 RAM
My specifications should comfortably allow me to play the game, but that hasn’t been the case. Here are the changes I have made. Please keep in mind that I have tried to accommodate those whose setup might be closer to the minimum requirements.
- FOV: 70 (Default is pretty good. Don’t change it).
- Fullscreen Mode: Personal Preference
- Screen Resolution: Native resolution of your monitor
- VSync: Enabled. While I would like to keep it turned off, having it enabled seems to give better performance.
- Enable FPS Limit: Yes (Absolutely necessary in the current state)
- FPS Limit: 60 (Don’t cross 60)
- FSR: Performance
- DLSS: On (If you’re using an Nvidia card)
- Motion Blur: Disabled
- Anti-Aliasing: Medium
- Post Processing: Medium
- Shadows: Low
- Reflections: Low
- Textures: Medium
- Effects: Low
- Foliage: Medium
- Shading: Low
I will be cranking up some settings in the days to come. However, that will happen only after we get a few post-launch patches to improve the general performance. For now, it’s best to optimize your in-game settings for performance, as I have done.
