Before I deep dive into the best settings, here’s a quick summary of my current hardware specifications.

- 32 GB of DDR4 RAM
For this guide, I have mainly focused on settings that will also benefit those who have slightly underpowered rigs. The emphasis is on the performance side of things, as Hell Let Loose: Vietnam is a shooter where you go up against other players.
- Window Mode: Personal preference
- Resolution Scale: 100%
- Vertical Sync: On. Not only does it get you a smoother result, but VSync in competitive give an edge.
- Image Reconstruction: Off
- Post Processing Quality: Low
- Motion Blur: Off
- SSAO: Off
- Hardware Lumen: Low, but if you’re getting lags, turn this off.
- View Distance: Medium
- Master Quality: Custom
- Global Illumination Quality: Low

The performance during the first couple of hours have been pretty stable. The tutorial felt rough, but changing the settings did the trick for me. That said, several reviews on Steam hint towards multiple performance issues. I expect the developers to drop a couple of post-launch patches to smoothen the issues at hand.
