Star Wars Zero Company has something called a Focus Tree that you’ll explore pretty early, and at its core lies the different Talents. Each Talent has unique effects that improve as you level up.
The efficacy of a specific Talent also relies heavily on the Specialization of an Operator.
All Talents in Star Wars Zero Company
It’s important to remember that there’s no so-called “best” Talent. I am almost at the end of the campaign, and every Talent has it’s use-case scenario. What you want to do is to pick one that’s best suited for a particular Specialization.
But before that, let me briefly explain how each Talent works.
| Talent | Effect | Level 3 |
|---|---|---|
| The Bigger They Are | Extra melee and ranged damage to elite enemies. | +3 Damage +4 Damage +6 Damage |
| Anticipation | Operator gains a stack of Evasion that allows them to dodge an incoming attack. | Two uses per turn Three uses per turn Use on an ally operator |
| A Life of Labor | Operator gets a bonus increment in defense and health. | +5 health, +1 defense, +2 melee damage +5 health, +1 defense, +2 melee damage, +2 critical hit damage +7 health, +2 defense, +4 melee damage, +4 critical hit damage |
| Cold-Blooded | Operator gets guaranteed crit hit on the next attack. Used once per combat. | Two uses per combat Three uses per combat Get two stacks of Vicious |
| Espionage | Operator gets bonus intel rewards after completing a mission. | +7 Intel +9 Intel +12 Intel |
| Fortitude | Raise the defense of the operator if they get injured. | +3 Defense while injured +4 Defense while injured +6 Defense and ignores any penalty to chance-to-hit |
| Grit | Blocks all incoming damage from the next attack. Raises health of the operator. | +4 health +8 health +12 health and two stacks of Invulnerable |
| Sabotage | Trigger an explosion to damage nearby enemies. | Two uses per combat Three uses per combat Unlimited uses |
| Taunt | Operator taunts enemies to make them target them. | Target’s damage reduced by 2 Target’s damage reduced by 4 Target’s damage reduced by 6 |
| Thievery | Get bonus credits after completed missions. | +200 Credits +250 Credits +300 Credits |
Best Talent for every Specialization in Star Wars Zero Company
Here are the best Talents for every Specialization in my books.
- Assault: A Life of Labor gives great all-rounded boosts that suits this class very well. If you’re running short of health, opting for Grit isn’t a bad choice. As always, Thievery is also worth considering if you’re running short of Credits.
- Heavy: Taunt is as must-have as that’s the primary role of the Heavy class. Grit is also a good choice if you want to combine it with Taunt.
- Gunslinger: As a support class, the Gunslinger benefits lot from having Evasion from Anticipate. A Life of Labor is also a good choice thanks to the all-rounded boosts.
- Medic: As survival is key, gaining evasion from Anticipate is crucial. Espionage is also useful as you get more intel rewards after completing missions.
- Sharpshooter: Cold-Blooded is the obvious choice as the class thrives on critical hits. If you’re looking to get more damage, The Bigger They Are is a good second choice.
- Scoundrel: Anticipation with all the evasion stacks is pretty useful. I also like to pick between Thievery and Cold-Blooded as the other Talents.
- Scout: Sabotage and Espionage are by far the two best options as you can trigger explosions and gain more intel from successful runs.
- Soldier: The combination of A Life of Labor and Grit is just about perfect as you get more health and all-rounded boosts (you can run builds that are extremely similar to Assault).
