NBA 2K26‘s MyPlayer mode allows you to live your superstar dreams on the virtual platform, and you can add a touch of extra authenticity to it with the help of applying your own face.

While plenty of customization options are available for you to enjoy during player creation, you can apply your own face quite easily. There are two key elements: scanning your face and uploading it for use within the game.

This task involves using the MyNBA 2K companion app on mobile devices. It is available on Android and iOS.

  • Create your MyPlayer account or sign into your existing one.
  • Ensure the account is connected to both NBA 2K26 and the MyNBA 2K Companion app.
  • There will be a series of prompts that you have to accept before proceeding.
  • You’ll need to click a photo of your face.
  • Make sure that you’re in a lighted room.
  • Keep the phone at an approximate 18″ distance.
  • When turning your face to the side, turn 45 degrees, and do it slowly. The app will tell you when you’ll have to rotate your face.
  • This should ensure a complete scan of your face to be used inside the game.
