My Hero Academia: 6 God-Level Heroes, Officially Ranked

The world of My Hero Academia has introduced us to a vast array of diverse characters wielding powerful Quirks. Among these characters, many powerful Heroes have risen. In My Hero Academia, many Pro Heroes are simply average, either because of a lack of effort or simply because of being bestowed with an underwhelming Quirk. However, there are some Heroes who have become immensely powerful through training and quirk mastery compared to the vast majority. In some cases, they have even reached a godlike level of strength.

  • Quirk: Hellflame
  • Hero Name: Endeavor
  • Japan Hero Rank: 1st Spot (Formerly)

For the majority of his career, Endeavor stood as the Number 2 Hero of Japan. But after All Might’s retirement, he was the Number One for a significant period, and it’s easy to see why. Endeavor has an overpowered fire Quirk, known as Hellflame, which has made him a Pro Hero with destructive powers on another level.

His Hellflame Quirk allowed him to burn to ashes anything in his way, also establishing him as one of All Might’s greatest rivals. In the final arc, he was clearly outclassed by his children, Toya and Shoto Todoroki. But, in the grand scheme of things, he remains one of the strongest Heroes of all time, and one who could easily take down the average Villain.

  • Quirk: Half Ice Half Fire
  • Hero Name: Shoto
  • Japan Hero Rank: 2nd Spot

Shoto Todoroki is a peculiar character from Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia. Unlike other characters, Todoroki wasn’t born with simply one ability. Instead, he was born with the power to use both ice and fire abilities, both stemming from the same Quirk, called Half-Cold Half-Hot. This has made him, from the get-go, stand out in terms of potential and granted him great versatility in battle.

In the final arc of My Hero Academia, Shoto unleashed his ultimate abilities, such as Flashfire Fist: Phosphor and Great Glacial Aegir, to take down his brother, Toya Todoroki. Because of his achievements and his continued growth, he has earned himself the second spot on the Japan Hero Charts. His power output and achievements definitely make him one of the few God-level Heroes of My Hero Academia.

Katsuki Bakugo

  • Quirk: Explosion
  • Hero Name: Dynamight
  • Japan Hero Rank: 5th Spot

In Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia, the only side character who received ample attention from the author was Katsuki Bakugo. Bakugo started off in MHA as a dislikeable character, but he quickly grew to become a fan favorite as his character was developed more by the author. He also came to be one of the strongest Heroes of his time, and is still striving to grow stronger. Bakugo’s power level became clear during his final confrontation in MHA’s last stretch.

After being presumed dead in the Final War Arc, Bakugo actually returned and took on All For One in combat. In doing so, he unleashed his ultimate ability, stemming from his awakened Explosion Quirk, named Howitzer Impact: Cluster. Through his might and determination, Bakugo was able to save All Might and allow Deku to come out victorious in his own battle. Being able to stand up to All For One has made Bakugo a God-level Pro Hero in My Hero Academia. He has one of the most destructive Quirks ever seen, and he has developed in strength even further after the time skip. Bakugo has the potential to be Japan’s Number One Hero. Sadly, he stands at Number 5 right now, but in large part, that is because of his terrible personality.

Izuku Midoriya

  • Quirk: One For All (Formerly)
  • Hero Name: Deku
  • Japan Hero Rank: 4th Spot

Izuku Midoriya is the protagonist of My Hero Academia. Technically, Izuku started off the story with no Quirk powers at all. In other words, Deku was just a regular person. However, this changed when Izuku met All Might and eventually went on to inherit one of the strongest quirks of all time, called One For All. Izuku became the 9th user of One For All and also the last one, completing a legendary line that was set up over 100 years ago.

While it took intense training and effort to master One For All, Deku proved to be up to the task and reached a level All Might hadn’t previously been able to achieve. With this power, and through the abilities of the Vestiges, Deku took on Shigaraki and All For One in the Final Arc. Sadly, One For All had to be sacrificed for victory to be achieved, leaving Deku powerless and tearing him down from his god status. That said, this was remedied in the epilogue of My Hero Academia, as Deku received a gift from All Might, in the form of a Hero Armor that allowed him to replicate the powers of his One For All Quirk. Deku is now back to his best and employed as a Pro Hero, just like he had always dreamed of.

2

Cathleen Bate

  • Quirk: New Order
  • Hero Name: Star and Stripes
  • USA Hero Rank: 1st Spot (Before Death)

Star and Stripes was a Hero from the United States of America. Inspired by All Might, she eventually went on to climb the ranks and become the Number 1 Hero of the USA. A lot of her strength can be traced back to her overpowered Quirk, known as New Order. It is one of the few quirks that could be said to be in the same league as One for All and All for One. In simple terms, it allows Cathleen to bend the laws of reality. Anything she can touch and state the name of, she can twist to her advantage.

Technically, she should have been able to defeat the final antagonist of My Hero Academia, Shigaraki. However, she couldn’t have guessed that Shigaraki wasn’t exactly a single person anymore. Either way, her reality-bending quirk easily makes her a God-level hero of a different scale. Had she lived longer, her legacy would have continued in the USA.

Toshinori Yagi

All Might God Level Heroes my hero academia

  • Quirk: One for All
  • Hero Name: All Might
  • Japan Hero Rank: 1st Spot (Formerly)

Known as the greatest Hero of all time, All Might’s strength has always left characters of the MHA world speechless. For the majority of his career, All Might served as the Number 1 Hero of Japan, and many would say he was even the greatest Hero in the entire world, of all time.

However, All Might wasn’t always this powerful. Technically, just like Deku, he started off as Quirkless, but by inheriting One For All from his mentor Nana, he was able to reach a new caliber of strength. In his prime, he was an unstoppable, God-level Hero, able to stand up to even the greatest villain of all time, All For One. He has definitely weakened with age, and now, he is practically powerless. But that doesn’t negate his legacy and the impact he has had on the world and on the new generation.
