The Nintendo Switch 2 had a decent 2025, at least for a new console that is still building momentum. We got some great first-party titles and a couple of solid ports; however, if everything goes right, last year should be merely a precursor to a better sequel. Although the year is still taking shape, plenty of exciting 2026 Switch 2 games have announced release dates for the remaining months. While not stacked with first-party projects so far, the Switch 2 game lineup has plenty of third-party offerings, including major titles that will release simultaneously with other consoles.
Whether you have already bought a Switch 2 and are looking for your next timesink, or if you are searching for that one new game that will justify picking up the console, you will want to keep an eye on all the titles coming soon to Nintendo’s latest hardware. Let’s go through all the major games announced for 2026.
The upcoming Switch 2 games were added on March 5, 2026: Avenue Escape, Ninja Gaiden 4: The Two Masters, Starship Troopers: Ultimate Bug War!, People of Note, PowerWash Simulator 2: Adventure Time, Under Par Golf Architect, Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 1+2 Dual Collection, Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, Bulb Boy 2: Jar of Despair, Disney Dreamlight Valley, Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun – Aiko’s Choice, Legacy of Kain: Ascendance, Goat Simulator 3, Warframe, Bandit Trap, Tales of Arise – Beyond the Dawn Edition, Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP, Bluey’s Quest for the Gold Pen, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Dark Auction, Mina the Hollower, Moonlight Peaks, Digimon Story Time Stranger, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots – Master Collection Version, Another Eden Begins, Disgaea Mayhem, Seina: A Tale of Spirits, Valheim, Meat Grinder, Brigandine Abyss, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, Anima Gate of Memories: I & II Remaster.
Big Switch 2 Games Coming In March 2026
Pokemon Pokopia, Fatal Frame, & More
Another pretty good month for Switch 2, March 2026, is defined by a few sizable titles, including Pokemon Pokopia. A farming/life sim set in Game Freak’s absurdly successful universe, Pokopia sounds like a dream game, and it has gotten almost exclusively positive reviews. If you want a creature-collection JRPG, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection should be a safe bet. Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake is also a big release, at least for horror fans. Super Mario Bros. Wonder: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park should close off the moment in a big way.

From JRPGs to platform, racing, and open-world titles, here are all the big new PS5 games releasing in 2026 and later.
Big Switch 2 Games Coming In April 2026
High On Life, Pragmata, & More
Right now, April 2026 only has a handful of Switch 2 games, although the month will likely fill up a bit more over the coming weeks. Still, a couple of big names are set for the month. Although debuting about two months after other systems, High on Life 2 is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2, and it will hopefully be even better than its predecessor.
So far, Pragmata might be April’s standout release, especially for anybody who gets excited when Capcom decides to get its weird on. A third-person action-adventure game that seems to focus on hacking and puzzles, along with shooting. Also, the protagonist’s best weapon seems to be a little girl.
- April 1: Goat Simulator 3
- April 2: Darwin’s Paradox!
- April 7: People of Note
- April 9: PowerWash Simulator 2: Adventure Time
- April 16: Under Par Golf Architect

Nintendo Switch 2 owners can expect their library of games to grow greatly in the coming future.
Big Switch 2 Games Coming In May 2026
Lego Batman, 007 First Light, Indiana Jones, & More
May should really be a great month for Nintendo Switch 2 owners, as a few big 3D party games will come to the console. 007 First Light is the first James Bond adventure in a long time, and it seems set to be one of the more ambitious and, hopefully, best entries. Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will be a celebration of everything Bruce Wayne, taking inspiration from the comics, movies, and games. The month will also see Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Tales of Arise, and Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP make their debuts.
Other Upcoming Switch 2 Games For 2026 (& Beyond)
Fire Emblem, Duskbloods, Elden Ring, Yoshi, & More
As the Switch 2 is still so young and filled with life, the future is both bright and somewhat unfocused. We know some of the big Switch 2 games that will launch over the next year or two, with games like The Duskbloods likely to drop in 2026. However, there is still so much we don’t know. When will the first proper The Legend of Zelda arrive? How about a 3D Mario? They will happen, but we don’t know when or how.
