All The Free Games You Can Claim In October 2026

Updated October 10, 2026, by Mark Sammut: I’ve updated this article with all the free games you can claim right now, including new titles on Steam, Epic Games Store, and Amazon Prime Gaming.

Looking for free games? Well, October 2026 has you covered across Steam, Epic Games Store, Amazon Prime Gaming (aka Amazon Luna), Indiegala, and more. To be clear, I’m not talking about free-to-play titles, but free-to-claim games that usually last a couple of days. If you miss the giveaway, you miss out on adding that game to your library. For example, Amazon Prime subscribers can currently pick up several Doom games for free, including Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal.

Console users don’t get as many freebies, but they can still check out PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass, both of which add a plethora of new titles each month. Xbox players are enjoying Gears of War: E-Day and will soon be enjoying Valor Mortis, while PS Plus owners should get their new games in the second half of the month.

Active Free Games

Steam Free Games

Pony Island

Steam gives away a couple of free games each month, though the site doesn’t follow a consistent schedule. You can currently pick up Pony Island, one of the more well-known giveaways Valve’s platform has offered in recent months. Stuck in limbo by the devil, you must complete puzzle games on an arcade machine.

Fireside Feelings

• Giveaway End Date: October 12, 2026 @ 1 AM PT; 4 AM EST; 10 AM CEST
• Usual Price: $7.99
• Steam Store Page: Fireside Feelings

Another Steam freebie, Fireside Feelings is a dialogue-driven cozy game where you discuss your feelings with others around the campfire.

Arena of Trophies

Beyond staging regular free-to-keep events, Steam offers another unique type of “giveaway.” On occasion, developers decide to make their game free for one reason or another. In the case of Arena of Trophies, the title will be delisted on October 22, 2026, so Thor Game Studios decided to let everyone claim it for free. Well worth picking up since you have nothing to lose.

Epic Games Store Giveaways

Out of Sight

Probably the most famous giveaways in PC gaming, the Epic Games Store’s weekly free games are simply reliable. Every Thursday at 8 AM PT or 11 AM EST, you can log on and add a title or two to your library for free. Most giveaways are indie titles a couple of years old, but they tend to be a bit more well-known than most of Steam’s freebies. Out of Sight is a horror platformer akin to Little Nightmares, with a unique mechanic where the protagonist sees through her doll’s eyes.

TerraScape

• Giveaway End Date: October 15, 2026 @ 8 AM PT; 11 AM EST; 5 PM CEST
• Usual Price: $14.99
• Epic Games Store Page: TerraScape

The other free Epic Games Store game for October 8 to 15 is TerraScape, a cozy city-puzzler that should hit the mark with city-builder fans looking for something relaxing to play solo or with friends.

The Big Con (Mobile)

• Giveaway End Date: October 15, 2026 @ 8 AM PT; 11 AM EST; 5 PM CEST
• Usual Price: $14.99
• Epic Games Store Page: The Big Con

In recent months, Epic Games Store has given away a mobile game every week alongside its PC freebies, and they tend to be indie titles available on other platforms. You need to jump through a few hoops to set everything up, but the link above walks you through all the steps. The current free game is The Big Con.

Amazon Luna / Prime Gaming (Requires Amazon Prime Membership)

Free Games For GOG, Epic Games Store, and Amazon Games

Although it’s far less well-known than Epic or Steam, Amazon Prime Gaming (aka Amazon Luna) arguably delivers October’s best free-games lineup, and it’s hardly the first month this has been the case. Technically, these titles aren’t free, you need an Amazon Prime subscription to claim them; however, almost nobody gets Amazon Prime just for these giveaways, so the games might as well be free.

Spread across multiple platforms like GOG and even the Epic Games Store, you can add Doom, Doom Eternal, Doom 1 and 2, Botany Manor, High on Life, FNAF: Into the Pit, and Zoria: Age of Shattering to your collection, and that’s far from a complete lineup. Amazon typically adds freebies a couple of times per month, so October 2026’s selection should evolve over the coming weeks.

Alienware Arena 30th Anniversary Battle Pass

Collect Points To Claim Free Games (Inc. Deathloop, The Evil Within, Oblivion Remastered, And More)

Now for something a little bit different. Alienware Arena rewards subscribers with ARP (Alienware Reward Points) for visiting the site, and points increase if you maintain a daily streak. You can then redeem those points for a wide range of items, including DLC or even full games. At any given time, the platform offers a few Steam game giveaways; for instance, DOOMSPIRE was recently available for just 10 ARP, while Observer: System Redux was on offer for 100.

Throughout October, Alienware Arena is celebrating Alienware’s 30th anniversary by issuing a Battle Pass. Once you create a (free) account and start the (free) Battle Pass, you gradually accumulate points and reach milestones that reward ARP, Avatars for your account, or Battle Tokens. Later in October, a store will open featuring rewards you can claim with your Battle Tokens, including game keys that cost 100 tokens each.

The current lineup includes more than 20 titles, including big-name releases like Death Loop, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, The Evil Within, Cassette Beasts, and RoboCop: Rogue City.

A few things to know:

• Everything is free: you can create an account, start the battle pass, and earn points for free.
• Daily logins are important for building ARP.
• You can earn ARP just by browsing the site, along with completing quests for specific games
• Overall, the Battle Pass has 150 Battle Tokens, so enough to pick up one title.

IndieGala Free Games

Free Games With No Confirmed Expiration Dates

IndieGala’s giveaways don’t typically attract all that much attention, just because they tend to feature very small games with almost no reputation. That said, these are still fun projects worth picking up, especially for free. IndieGala doesn’t typically announce when a giveaway will end, so don’t wait too long to claim these.
