Playing as Civilian in Halloween: The Game is no easy task when you have to escape the clutches of Michael Myers. However, there are plenty of ways to escape the boogeyman without getting killed.

In this guide, I will go through all the methods by which you can escape impending death.

How to escape in Halloween: The Game

There’s no so-called best way to escape, since all the methods are situational. You should rely on a method that will require the shortest period of time for you to escape.

Call the police

You can use a telephone to call the police, who will appear when you have two and half shields filled. You can make the calls yourself, but make sure not to fail the minigame. However, you can also ask the residents to make the calls. The more calls you make, the better.

A police wagon will arrive with two armed cops. You can use the wagon to escape but also wait for other survivors.

Storm Cellars

You’ll find the cellars at random locations, but their entry points will be blocked. You have to clear the barriers with suitable tools, and then use the cellars to escape. Survivors can also use cellars whose entrances have been cleared by others.

Outer Gates

The Outer Gates will have similar blockages as the Storm Cellars. However, you’ll need to have a fuse to open the gates. I am unsure why the spawn rate is so low, but I have found it just once across 20 different runs. If you manage to find one, head to one of these gates on the outer edges of the map to open and escape.

Cars

To use a car, you’ll need three different items. You’ll need to find fuel, which always seems to spawn outside. You’ll need a Repair Kit to fix the engine before it can be driven to escape Michael. There’s a minigame you have to crack to escape. Finally, you’ll have to get a Sedan Key to drive the vehicle.

However, be careful not to crash the car. If you do so or Michael uses his Blackout ability, the car’s engine will be fried, and you’ll have to repair it using a fresh Repair Kit.

Do remember that every escape point can only accommodate three survivors, and this also includes NPCs you decide to save. Hence, there are limited scope when it comes to escaping the boogeyman.
