Palworld‘s full launch, aka version 1.0, has plenty of great options available for combat. While all your Pals can fight when required, some of them excel at it. They either have perfect stats for attacks, or they provide massive buffs.
This guide will provide you with a shortlist of the best combat pals available in Palworld 1.0.
Best combat Pals to use in Palworld 1.0
The following table includes some of the best battles you can use for combat. I have tried to keep some options that are good for beginners, but most of the choices here are great for endgame squads. Some representatives are exclusive to the New World Tree and Sunreach Island regions, so you will need to gain access to those.
| Pal | Reason |
|---|---|
| Eidrolon Ignis | Eidrolon Ignis is one of the best choices to have if you have a Dragon and Fire-based squad. Its partner skill, Resentful Pterosaur, allows it to gain a 6% increase in attack and movement speed for each Dragon and Fire-based Pal in your party. This can go up to a 30% increase in movement speed and attack if you build your squad accordingly. |
| Jormuntide Ignis | Jormuntide Ignis has the highest attack power in the entire game and the highest base health among all Fire-type attackers. Moreover, its fire type works really well with Eidrolon Ignis and its partner skill. |
| Shaolong | Shaolong can increase its attack by 8% for each other dragon-type Pal in your party. It works well with the likes of Jormuntide Ignis, for example. You can gain a maximum 40% increase in attack power by this method. |
| Orserk | Orserk is one of the best Pals to have in your base. However, it can be a pretty effective option in any party. Your Pal fighting alongside you will get increased attack and defense by 5% for 5 seconds. This ability can stack, and all you need is an Orserk in your party. |
| Solenne | If you are someone who loves to use species of different types, Solenne is a great choice. If she is in a party, she will raise her attack by 80% if all your party members are different species. This is a great choice for mixed teams. |
| Aegidron | Aegidron is my favorite addition to the game. It’s a wonderful tank that can absorb plenty of damage. Moreover, you and your party Pals will take 80% less damage from explosions and remain immune to stun by simply having an Aegidron in your party. |
| Moldron Cryst | While Moldron Cryst has great offense and defense, it is a good addition for Ice teams. When it’s in the party, it will improve your Pal’s Ice damage to the enemy’s weak points by 40%. |
| Bastigor | Bastigor’s greatest strength lies in its exclusive attacks. For example, Glacial Impact lets you leap into the air, then smash into the ground, creating a massive ice crack. The resulting explosion deals significant damage and delivers blows with a hammer forged from the ice while you remain mounted. |
| Jetdragon | Jetdragon remains an overpowered Pal and one of the best mounts. With 1,000 base added, it essentially gives your party a top‑notch attack. |
Having a great combat party is just one side of the coin. You will also need to be effective when choosing pals for your base. This guide will help you get the best possible selections to keep your base running at maximum potential.
