Best Seer build in Mistfall Hunter

Best Seer build in Mistfall Hunter

The Seer is one of the hardest classes to master in Mistfall Hunter, but doing so will bring you endless hours of joy as you level up. This class seems highly tailored for Trios mode, where it’s almost essential if we consider the meta. It’s also an affordable choice if you are playing solo.

Mistfall Hunter Seer class overview

The Seer is a Mistfall Hunter support/healing class. Of course, any class can act as a support if you are using a suitable build. The Seer’s kit is tailor-made to help out your allies, making it a must-have class when you are playing in Trios.

Before I deep dive into the build, here’s a quick list of pros and cons of this class. Do keep in mind that the Seer is very difficult to navigate in solos. You can still play with it if you like, but I recommend otherwise.

Pros

  • Has plenty of ways to support your team
  • Provides heals to team members that scale with attack
  • Can operate from range with certain move sets
  • Option to go two separate routes (Reverent and Blasphemer)

Cons

  • Very limited DPS, so relies on other classes
  • Low survivability and struggles if the enemy rushes in
  • Relatively long casting times at lower levels
  • Requires coordination with allies to have the best impact

With the Seer, your job is simple: stay in the back line, save yourself, and protect your allies.

The build I have recommended in this guide works well in both PvP and PvE. I have focused on the Reverent school because I don’t like Blasphemer.

The latter forces you to go with a melee-focused build, which I don’t think works well with the Seer (unless you’re going solo), so Reverent is the way to go. Let’s check out the build. I have also added all the available skills for the Seer class for you to learn about.

All Seer skills in Mistfall Hunter

The Seer class has 15 different Catalyst Skills and 11 different Mace skills. The two tables below provides complete list of all of them and how they operate in the game. All the skills I have chosen for my build have been picked after assessing each skill (on the Reverent side).

Catalyst

Name How it Works
Psionic Orb Press the attack button to fire a Psionic Orb. Firing and hitting enemies accelerates Psionic Energy recovery. Hold to chant and consume 1 Psionic Energy, launching an enhanced orb with greater damage, impact, effective range, and maximum range.
Rune Summon Consume Psionic Energy to summon the currently selected rune at the target location.
Punishment Rune Hold to chant, then summon a Punishment Rune at the target location. It repeatedly deals Magic Damage to the enemy with the lowest Health within range, prioritizing enemy players and dealing increased damage to them. The rune is a Construct and is more durable in trio mode.
Healing Rune Hold to chant, then summon a Healing Rune that restores Health to all allies within range over time. The skill has limited uses per match, with additional uses in trio mode. The rune is a Construct and is more durable in trio mode.
Shelter Rune Hold to chant, then summon a Shelter Rune. When created, it grants a Shield to every ally within range. For a limited time, it also grants shields at fixed intervals to the nearby ally with the lowest Health. Shield value scales with Attack. The rune is a Construct and is more durable in trio mode.
Stealth Rune Hold to aim and summon a Stealth Rune at the target location, granting Stealth to all allies within range. Taking damage does not end this Stealth state. The rune is a Construct and is more durable in trio mode.
Burst Rune Hold to chant, then call down a runic impact that deals Magic Damage to all enemies within the target area and restores Psionic Energy based on the number hit. Rune energy remains on the ground and marks enemies that touch it. After a delay, the mark explodes, dealing Magic Damage and causing Stagger. Your Psionic Orbs can pass through your Burst Rune to carry its energy and mark enemies they hit. Burst Rune is a Construct.
Binding Rune Hold to aim and summon a Binding Rune. After a short delay, it links to enemies within range. Enemies that break the link by leaving the area become Immobilized and cannot jump for a period of time. Successfully binding an enemy player restores Psionic Energy. Binding Rune is a Construct.
Intimidation Rune Immediately summon an Intimidation Rune near yourself, dealing Magic Damage and knocking back every enemy within range. When the rune is destroyed, it repeats the damage and knock back. Intimidation Rune is a Construct and does not consume Psionic Energy.
Windwalker Rune Hold to chant, then summon a Windwalker Rune. Allies within range gain increased Dodge Distance, while enemies within range have reduced Dodge Distance. The rune is a Construct and is more durable in trio mode.
Wind Surge Launch a high-pressure cyclone toward the crosshair, dealing Magic Damage and knocking back all enemies within range.
Healing Art Hold to use area targeting and restore Health to the selected unit. Healing Art cannot target downed allies and has limited uses per match, with additional uses in trio mode.
Psionic Shield Only one of Healing Art and Psionic Shield can be selected at a time. Hold to chant and use area targeting. When the chant finishes, grant the selected unit a Shield whose value scales with Attack. The skill cannot target downed allies and can store multiple charges.
Blinding Rune Hold to aim and summon a Blinding Rune at the target location. After a short delay, enemies within range who are facing the rune have their vision obstructed. The farther an enemy is from the rune, the shorter the obstruction lasts.
Death Ward Hold to use area targeting and empower the selected unit. The target gains Super Armor and cannot be defeated for a limited duration. Death Ward cannot target downed allies.

Here’s a list of all 11 Mace Skills you get to pick with the Blasphemer school.

Mace

Skill How it Works
Rune: Heavy Strike Deliver a heavy forward strike that deals Physical Damage to enemies hit. When Curse Mana is full, Rune: Heavy Strike is replaced by the currently selected enchanted rune attack.
Unleash Zeal Enter Zeal, increasing your Attack and Defense. While Zeal is active, Curse Mana no longer recovers automatically.
Rune: Drain Attack forward with thorns, dealing Magic Damage to enemies hit. Recover Health based on the damage dealt and reduce the targets’ Attack for a period of time.
Rune: Sweep Unleash a powerful forward strike that deals Magic Damage to enemies hit.
Rune: Ankle Cut Smash the ground. Enemies directly struck by the Mace take Magic Damage with Impact and become Immobilized. Other enemies within the area take Magic Damage without Impact and have their Movement Speed reduced.
Rune: Corruption Dash forward and attack, dealing Magic Damage to enemies hit and reducing the amount of Healing Received for a period of time.
Rune: Stun Leap forward, dealing Magic Damage to enemies hit and inflicting Stunned.
Shapeshift Transform into a rune and greatly increase Movement Speed for a limited duration. Taking damage while transformed does not cause Stagger. Use the attack button during the transformation to perform Shapebreak.
Thorn Sigil Summon a Thorn Sigil that briefly Immobilizes enemies across a large area. The thorns remain for a period of time, reducing enemy Movement Speed and continuously dealing Magic Damage.
Impact Sigil Summon an Impact Sigil at the selected location. After a brief delay, it travels through its path, dealing Magic Damage and knocking back every enemy struck.
Paralysis Curse Enter a casting state. During this state, each use of the attack button summons a Paralysis Curse at the target location, dealing Magic Damage and reducing enemy Movement Speed. Up to four curses can be used. Hitting the same target three times within a short period also inflicts Stunned.

Best Mistfall Hunter Seer class guide

A fair note of caution: this build is purely focused around Trios. Do not try to use this in Solos. So far, I have not found consistent success with any build using the Seer in Solos mode. If I find a build, however, I will duly add it to this guide for your benefit.

For now, you can use this guide pretty well when you are playing with other players on your team.

Here are the key Rune Pillar skills to use.

  • Punishment Rune: Default option that gets the basic job done. You can summon the Punishment Rune to the target location, where it will consistently deal magic damage to the enemy with the lowest health in range. Its durability also increases in the Trios.
  • Windwalker Rune: Once you are at level 7, you can unlock this rune. Once you summon the rune, it will increase the dodge distance of all allies and reduce the enemy’s dodge distance. Dodge is one of the most important elements that determines the outcome of a team fight in the current meta. This rune is a must-use if you want to be a perfect team player.
  • Binding Rune: You can use this rune to immobilize enemies that are caught in the range. They will be able to jump for a period, and each successful binding will restore psionic energy. This is another rune that tries to obstruct the movement pattern of enemy players.

Here are the key skills to use with Divine Arts.

  • Death Ward: not only does this skill auto-target your nearest ally, but it also grants them super armor, which protects them from negative buffs like staggers. You can also prevent their death for a short period of time. This skill is truly OP in my books, especially if you have a Shadowstrix or a Sorcerer in your team.
  • Healing Art: Allows you to restore the health of your allies in an emergency.

Here are the main Talents for this build.

  • Potent Wounding: Consumes more energy, but the enhanced orb has a higher damage multiplier.
  • Enhanced Tracking: Once you fire two enhanced orbs, the next enhanced orb will have increased flight speed and tracking effect.
  • Deep Healing: Raises the amount of heal you provide to your allies.
  • Rigidity: When your enemies escape the range of a Binding Rune, they will be stunned for a few seconds.
  • Retention: Increases the duration of your Death Ward’s Super Armor.
  • Leverage: Your allies get enhanced dodge energy recovery when in the range of the Windwalker Rune’s area. This is a great combo since your allies can already dodge better.

If you still want to use this build for solo, you will have to focus a bit more on the Blasphemer side of things. That said, I have yet to test how the build works when you are playing alone. Expect an update over the course of the weekend as I spend more time with the class.

Finally, we come down to the key weapon affixes.

  • Valor: Improves the overall potential of this build.
  • Tenacious: Improves your health, and after a certain level, it also boosts your healing.
  • Ranged: Raises the damage done to enemies at range.
  • Eloquence: Increases your chanting speed. After a certain level, your chanting cannot be interrupted by minor impact.

You should ideally look to use purple gear once you have it in your inventory. While those gear items can be expensive, they are required to help this build reach its full potential. That said, you can still do well with this build as long as you are using the combos in their intended fashion.
