Kekkei Genkai are anomalies in the DNA of certain individuals in the Naruto world that grant them access to special abilities. Given that these are special powers, they cannot be replicated or learned by any other individuals. Only by having the anomalies in the DNA can one individual tap into Kekkei Genkai abilities, and that is what makes them incredibly special.
In the Boruto era, the Kekkei Genkai have evolved drastically, and quite a few new overpowered ones have been introduced to the series. At the same time, some clans have received new Kekkei Genkai, and this also includes the famed Uzumaki Clan. The Uzumaki clan once existed in Uzushiogakure, but now, they are resurgent within Konoha, with Naruto Uzumaki as their official leader. This new version of the Uzumaki clan has been officially bestowed with a new Kekkei Genkai, which is none other than the famed Byakugan, one of the Three Great Dojutsu of the Naruto world, which now belongs officially to all of its descendants.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has changed the Uzumaki Clan forever by officially giving it a Kekkei Genkai ability. When the Uzumaki Clan was first introduced to us in the Naruto series, it did not have any Kekkei Genkai. The Uzumaki were known to have a unique vitality as well as incredible reserves of chakra. However, when it comes to special abilities or anomalies in DNA, they did not have any. In certain cases, within the women of the Uzumaki Clan, the ability to manipulate the Adamantine Chains was present, and this was confirmed in Naruto Chapter #663.

Kushina Uzumaki showcased this unique ability when she used it on Kurama during the day Naruto Uzumaki was born. Later down the line, in the Fourth Great Ninja War, Karin Uzumaki also showcased this ability to fight off Tobi’s Wooden Statue. However, this ability did not show up in all members of the clan and was also specific only to the women of the Uzumaki. Now, the Uzumaki clan has an official Kekkei Genkai that all members can awaken from here on out, and this ability is the Byakugan.
Traditionally, the Byakugan is specific only to the Hyuga Clan. There’s a reason why the vast majority of Hyuga simply intermarry and have a Branch and Main family. But with Hinata Hyuga marrying Naruto Uzumaki, the Byakugan has now officially transferred to the Uzumaki Clan. Naruto’s two children, Boruto Uzumaki and Himawari Uzumaki, both have access to the Byakugan. In Boruto’s case, the access to the Byakugan is slightly more confusing because we still don’t know if he gets this ability from his own bloodline or from Momoshiki, or if both factors contribute to it. In the case of Himawari Uzumaki, it is quite clear that she inherited this ability from Hinata.

All Future Uzumaki Clan Members Will Hold The Potential To Unlock The Byakugan
Given that both Boruto Uzumaki and Himawari Uzumaki have access to the Byakugan, all future members of the Uzumaki clan that are born in Konoha will officially have access to this ability again. For instance, if Boruto Uzumaki has any children in the future, be it with Sumire or Sarada, they are bound to have the power of the Byakugan. Interestingly enough, Masashi Kishimoto, the creator of Naruto, already tackled the question of what would happen if a Byakugan user and a Sharingan user had a child.
According to Kishimoto, the child would have one dojutsu in each eye, meaning that if Boruto Uzumaki marries Sarada, it is highly likely that the child would have a Byakugan and a Sharingan, making them incredibly overpowered.

Similarly, Himawari Uzumaki is being set up in a romantic plotline with Inojin Yamanaka. If these two characters go on to have any children decades into the future, then it is highly likely that their kids will inherit the Byakugan directly from Himawari. This further enhances the influence of the Byakugan over the Uzumaki Clan and makes it an official part of the clan from here onwards. Technically, the Uzumaki clan could also potentially get the Sharingan permanently if Sarada does end up with Boruto Uzumaki. In that case, any Uzumaki descendant is going to have access to the Sharingan as well as the Byakugan, along with the incredible vitality of the Uzumaki clan. This is making any future members of this clan overpowered and giving them the potential to reach the very top levels.
Why The Uzumaki Clan Is Stronger Than Ever In Boruto
In the Boruto era, the Uzumaki clan is stronger than ever before. While this clan was once persecuted and demolished by neighboring countries when it existed in Uzushiogakure, now, it is resurgent in Konoha, with Naruto Uzumaki at its helm. Naruto has done all he can to revive the Uzumaki Clan in the best way possible, and given that the world is largely at peace now, the Uzumaki Clan is bound to flourish in the future. In the decades to come, the Uzumaki Clan is officially set to expand through the characters of Boruto Uzumaki and Himawari Uzumaki.
At the same time, we cannot forget Kawaki, who was officially taken in by the Uzumaki Clan as well. Kawaki might not be a true-born Uzumaki, but he is still an adoptive son of Naruto and thus an official member of the Uzumaki clan. It is interesting to note that Kawaki has the power of the Koku Gan, which is a special Otsutsuki Kike Genkai. If Kawaki does go on to have any kids in the future, they may inherit the Koku Gan from him. In this case, the Uzumaki clan might even get access to the Koku Gan in the future, making it the undisputed strongest clan to exist in the world of Naruto with the greatest ability.

It must also be noted that through characters like Naruto Uzumaki and Sarada Uchiha, the Uzumaki clan might even gain access to the Rinnegan, given that traces of the chakra of Indra and Asura could very well be combined. There’s also a potential to awaken the Tenseigan, given that this ability only awakens when Otsutsuki chakra is combined with the Byakugan. All things considered, the Uzumaki Clan is only going to power up further and establish dominance at the top as the strongest clan to ever exist in the world of Naruto and Boruto.
