Chainsaw Man Chapter 232 released on March 24, 2026, bringing Part 2 – and seemingly the entire manga – to an abrupt close. To call Chainsaw Man’s ending divisive would be the understatement of the century. Pochita resetting the timeline and giving Denji a second chance at life, only for him to end up back at Public Safety, left several fans of the series confused and frustrated. Not helping matters was the fact that Chainsaw Man still had more than enough story left to justify Tatsuki Fujimoto creating Part 3.
Fortunately, there’s still a chance that Chainsaw Man could continue. Chainsaw Man Part 2 isn’t actually over yet, and won’t be until Volume 24 releases next month. Chainsaw Man Part 2 is officially coming back on June 4 with brand new material that’ll, at the very least, revise the manga’s ending with new art and new pages. Best case scenario, Tatsuki Fujimoto will use Part 2ms comeback to not only flesh out the ending, but give Chainsaw Man fans what they’ve been wanting for months: an official Part 3.

The fate of the Chainsaw Man’s future has been laid bare with the reveal of Volume 24’s cover art.
Chainsaw Man Part 2 is Getting an Improved Ending
Reading Chainsaw Man chapters as they were released versus waiting for the volumes to come out results in a very different experience. Tatsuki Fujimoto uses every Chainsaw Man volume as an opportunity to refine each chapter’s artwork. Most recently, Chainsaw Man Volume 23 featured multiple redrawn pages of Denji and Yoru’s final battle, adding in new backgrounds while touching up small details.
The art has been far and away the biggest criticism of Chainsaw Man Part 2, but the volume releases fix all of that with amazing additions that really flesh out each page. Chainsaw Man Volume 24 will release on June 4, 2026, compiling chapters 223 through 232 of the manga. The new volume is guaranteed to include new art and revised details in Chainsaw Man’s final fight against the War Devil, as well as Earth’s apocalypse and the actual ending. Fujimoto’s touch-ups to the art are bound to improve the ending, but Volume 24 will also include 12 pages that weren’t a part of Part 2’s original release.

Chainsaw Man Volume 24’s New Pages Will Make or Break Part 3
There’s still hope for Chainsaw Man Part 3, and June 4 will make or break the series’ future. No one knows yet what Chainsaw Man Volume 24’s 12 new pages will look like. Chainsaw Man chapters are about 14 pages in length, but the series has had chapters with as few pages as 12 before, so there’s a chance Chainsaw Man Chapter 233 could very well happen. Whether this chapter acts as simply an epilogue to Part 2, or an official set up for Part 3, is another matter entirely.
Worst case scenario, there’s also the unfortunate possibility that the 12 new chapters are either blank pages to split up chapters, sketches of Pochita, or scattered throughout the volume to flesh out individual chapters while leaving Part 2’s final arc intact. For what it’s worth, the new pages being used to make the final chapters longer wouldn’t be a bad thing, and could help explain details or flesh out moments that were left undercooked in the original release.
At the very least, June 4 will be the day Chainsaw Man fans finally get to see a newly revised ending for Part 2, with the art and care the manga always deserved.
