Complete Moon Sweepers walkthrough

Complete Moon Sweepers walkthrough

Moon Sweepers is all about cleaning Earth’s satellite, and all you have to do is to clean every square inch of Moon. However, there’s no one way to do so, and this can make things confusing.

In this guide, I will lay down a complete plan that allows you to approach the endgame without any issues.

How to complete Moon Sweepers

The basic premise of Moon Sweepers in simple. You begin your adventure on the Moon with the sole objective of completing different contracts. After all, cleaning Moon isn’t an act of Philanthropy. The Lunar Dust you get can be sold for profits, and you’ll then get to get new tools and upgrades.

Here’s a quick rundown of what we will be doing.

  • Clean the surface and remove the Lunar Dust. There are different tools to start with.
  • Collect the Lunar Dust that you clean, and deliver it to the depot.
  • Complete different contracts by delivering the required amount of Lunar Dust.
  • Use the money to improve yourself.

As you might have understood, there is no one fixed way of cleaning the moon. First, let’s check out how to clean the surface of the moon before delving deeper into the more advanced concepts.

Cleaning the Moon

Your first task is to establish a base. Once done, begin cleaning areas that are closer to your base. At this stage, you do not have vehicles to move around, and you also do not have plenty of advanced tools. You are likely going to only have the toothbrush, and this is more than fine.

Clean as many sectors as possible with the toothbrush without spending any more money. While you can get a better tool, like the nail brush or the hand brush, it’s better to save them once you have cleared at least 15 sectors.

Each cleaning tool in the game has its own cleaning capacity and carry capacity. While it might sound very lucrative, do not purchase all the tools. Instead, prioritize the ones that will give you a distinct advantage.

For example, go to the Household Broom directly after using the Toothbrush. The Household Broom is a massive upgrade when it comes to collecting the lunar dust. Once done, it’s better to avoid the Wide Broom or the Extra-Wide Broom. Instead, we will focus on the upgrades to improve our collection rate.

Now, let’s look at all the upgrades. There are five different categories available for you to pick from.

Different upgrades in Moon Sweepers

Containers

Upgrades How it Works
Toothbrush Starter cleaning tool.
Nail Brush Slightly improved clearing tool.
Hand Brush Allows you to clean much more efficiently.
Household Broom First broom that you can acquire for relatively cheap.
Wide Broom An improved version of the Household Broom that has a larger operational radius.
Dust Compactor Raises the carry capacity of all your containers.
Auto-Packer Saves time by automating the dust packaging operations.

Cleaning

Upgrades How it Works
Wide Heads Improves the width of all your cleaning tools.
Deep Heads Improves the cleaning depth.
Long Reach Improves the operational length of your tools.
Surge Heads Amplifies the effects of the previous three upgrades.

Suit

Upgrades How it Works
Servo Stride Bonus movement speed.
Lunar Leap Provides aerial boost.
Helmet Lamp Provides a source of light.
Exo Frame Provides a well-rounded exterior frame.

Economy

Upgrades How it Works
Market Contracts Increases the payout from selling Lunar Dust.
Supplier Network Get bonus payments for completing a sector.
Region Bounty Bonus payout when selling Lunar Dust.
Lunar Exchange Get bonus launch-payout bonuses.

If you play long enough, you can eventually get all the upgrades, but when you are starting out, you will need to prioritize the ones that are useful. For example, Market Contracts is the first economy-based upgrade that you should always unlock.

It improves the valuation of every contract you fulfill and allows you to get more money. The more money you have, the more upgrades and tools you can get, making your life a lot easier.

Cleaning with Vehicles

Once you have passed the beginning stages, you will eventually craft your garage. The garage is an important addition that comes at a cost of $200. Once you have your garage, you will be able to purchase different vehicles. Vehicles begin with a Push Sweeper priced at $300 and go all the way up to a Mega Vacuum Rover that costs a steep $6,000.

The objective of every vehicle is the same: they allow you to clean the moon more efficiently. Due to their higher speed, you will be able to travel to different areas of the moon more quickly. With patch 1.0.3, we can also add plenty of upgrades to our vehicles, making them much more efficient.

For myself, I did not have vehicles set up immediately. Once I had enough dollars, I began with a couple of Push Sweepers that do the basic job pretty well. Acquiring the likes of a Mega Vacuum Rover might sound lucrative, but you should always save them for the end game.

Making money

At the beginning, you will be selling lunar dust because there are no other options. Eventually, you will look to sell Moon Sand and produce Moonstone. These are much more valuable resources that can be produced from Lunar Dust, and they will make you rich in quick time.

To produce Moon Sand, you’ll need to purchase the Pressure Chamber. This will convert 5 Kg of Lunar Dust into Moon Sand every 12 seconds. It works automatically, so you don’t have to do anything by yourself.

Once you have Moon Sand, you’ll need to get a Stone Press. This will consume 1 Kg of Lunar Dust and 1 Kg of Moon Sand to produce 2 kg of Moonstone Block every six seconds.

For this guide, I haven’t touched automation for two reasons. First, I am working on a separate guide for it that will explore all forms of automation available in the game. Second, automation is a strict endgame activity. Once you reach that stage, you won’t need this walkthrough since you have aced every basic and advanced concepts.
