Muzan’s Cocoon Form is one of the most disturbing sights in Demon Slayer. With only his head exposed while the rest of his body remained encased in a thick cocoon of flesh, he isolated himself and purged Lady Tamayo’s deadly drugs before they could ruin his demonic physiology further.
At the same time, Muzan continues to absorb Tamayo in this disturbing form, mocking her final act of defiance, unaware that four different types of drugs have already sealed his downfall later in the series. However, despite this non-combat form, Muzan remained a brutal enemy with a strong resolve to kill every demon slayer in the world.

Muzan’s Tsukihiko Form Walked Freely Among Humans and Demon Slayers
For years, Muzan roamed the streets of Japan undetected by the Demon Slayer Corps, constantly changing his appearance with the help of his god-tier biokinesis ability. However, Tanjiro immediately recognized Muzan in Asakusa, though the villain had taken on the role of Tsukihiko, a loving father and devoted husband.
As soon as Muzan saw Tanjiro’s hanafuda earrings, he knew that he was a demon slayer. To avoid drawing unnecessary attention to himself, Muzan instantly turned a passerby into a demon with nothing more than a single scratch. Muzan’s Female Form Killed Lower Moon Demons
Before the Mugen Train Arc, Muzan surprised every Demon Slayer fan with his elegant, geisha-like female form. He looked absolutely gorgeous yet dangerous in this guise, boasting striking eyes that would make anyone want to avoid his piercing gaze.
Despite this elegant female form, Muzan could easily switch from gentle to brutal, as shown when he killed the remaining lower moons in a flash, except for Enmu. This brutal act was a strong reminder that no demon could defy Muzan, and it’s only fitting for the weak to be of service to the strong until they die.

Muzan’s Toshikuni Form Berated Akaza Mercilessly
Muzan once assumed the identity of a polite and earnest young boy cherished by his affluent parents. He could be seen hanging out in the library, reading books while his parents admired him from a distance. Adding to the deception, Muzan’s disguise came with a skin condition that prevented him from going out in the sun.
However, despite his vulnerable appearance, Muzan as the young Toshikuni was still the most brutal demon in the series. Before meeting Tanjiro in Asakusa, Muzan wreaked havoc throughout the Heian Era after becoming a demon. He devoured countless humans, slaughtered entire armies, and annihilated villages in his relentless search for the Blue Spider Lily. It goes without saying that during this period, Muzan was a merciless predator.
However, in this era, even the power-hungry Muzan was humbled by Yoriichi Tsugikuni, who nearly killed him. As a result, Muzan secluded himself to recover, leaving his demon progeny to continue the search on his behalf. After he recovered, Muzan continued his search while creating an army of upper and lower-rank demons.

Muzan’s Demonic Infant Form Was His Last Defense Against the Sun
More than anything, Muzan’s worst nightmare was not the demon slayers, but the Sun itself. After all, the sun could burn his flesh, impede his regeneration, and, in the worst-case scenario, disintegrate him to death. This, unfortunately, happened in the final moments of the war between Muzan and the surviving demon slayers of the Infinity Castle.
To protect himself from the sun, Muzan used his Biokinesis Blood Demon Art to envelop himself in an armor of flesh, transforming into a giant demonic infant. While this form is one of the most disturbing in Demon Slayer, it also represents Muzan’s greatest defensive adaptation.

Muzan’s True Demon Form Turned Him Into a Great Calamity
Muzan’s True Demon Form is far superior to his previous forms when it comes to destructive power and overall combat prowess. Emerging from a cocoon made of flesh, Muzan finally looks like a nightmare incarnate, with extended arms that look like long-bladed whips. With their exceptional reach, these deadly whips can easily slaughter anyone who enters their range.
Moreover, in this form, Muzan confidently assumed that his power was more or less equivalent to a Great Calamity that humans like Tanjiro wouldn’t be able to defeat, no matter how long they struggled. At the same time, this is Muzan’s final form in the Infinity Castle, where he faces Tanjiro, Giyu, Yushiro, Mitsuri, and Obanai.

Muzan’s Final Battle Form Nearly Ended the Demon Slayer Corps
Muzan’s Blood Demon Art was ultimately put to the test in his final battle form. With spines, tentacles, and whip-like arms erupting from his body, Muzan transformed into a killing machine capable of attacking every direction at once. In this grotesque form, he mutilated several demon slayers to death, dismembered the surviving Hashira, and forced Tanjiro, Inosuke, Zenitsu, and Kanao into a desperate battle of attrition.
Despite being aged by 9,000 years through Tamayo’s aging drug, Muzan’s Final Battle Form remained powerful enough to push his enemies to their absolute limits. For instance, the gaping mouth in Muzan’s chest expelled a poisonous discharge that paralyzed Tanjiro and Obanai, while a second bestial mouth savagely attacked Sanemi.

Muzan Almost Won by Passing His Blood and Memories to Tanjiro’s Demon King Form
Getting rid of Muzan Kibutsuji for good wasn’t an easy undertaking. Even while taking his last breath, Muzan desperately clung to power by transferring his blood, as well as his memories, to Tanjiro, reviving the Sun Breather as the new Demon King of the Taisho Era. In the process, Tanjiro regained his left arm and even had his poisoned eye cured.
Under Muzan’s influence, Tanjiro, in his feral Demon King form, posed an incredibly dangerous threat to all the surviving members of the Demon Slayer Corps. Not only did Tanjiro conquer the sun, but he was also motivated by Muzan’s relentless will to end the Demon Slayer Corps once and for all.
